I know this sort of thread has happened before, but hopefully no-one has linked to this site before.
It's even slightly on-yopic because of number 9.

Classy!

I swear I think I had all of those toys (but especially Zoids and Test Match Cricket with Graham Gooch + Mike Gatting!)

Tiny Tears?
Hmm, just pretend I wrote something witty eh?

Demon Chicken

byron: did you own a Rainbow Brite (80) and Girl's World (78)? If you have they have provided the nation (message board, whatever) with hours of fun yet again.

Dan Kelly

Nice one Rac, just wasted about an hour tripping down memory lane and pissing myself laughing at some of the descriptions. Best of all though was the Johnny-7. I haven't seen one of those since the 70's and was actually starting to wonder if I'd just imagined them. Of course I never bloody owned one though, just like most of the other stuff I only ever saw at other kids houses. Did have the action man scorpion tank though which was pretty cool. Mind you in those days you could actually get a nazi stormtrooper action man, the ones my kids have now seem to be gay skateboarding eco-nobbers or something. And they're cheap crap things with fewer movable joints.
Yours nostalgicly, Jim.

Devons Daddy

"Mind you in those days you could actually get a nazi stormtrooper action man, the ones my kids have now seem to be gay skateboarding eco-nobbers or something." Made me laugh so much!

What was the very first uniform I, aged 5, went out and bought for my very first Action Man, a good 3 months before he had company in the form of Maskatron?

Why, the German stormtrooper uniform, of course!
STRIKE !!!

UZI 4U

Yeah the stormtrooper outfit was tops for sure. Thing is when I recall my Commando war stories and Airfix influenced youth the german stuff always seemed coolest. Tanks, guns, uniforms and stuff always seemed more angular modern and menacing than the rounded blobby old fashioned looking kit poor Tommy had to suffer! Tiger tank versus Sherman- no contest really.
DD- you're definitely right about the spacehoppers. Those things were nigh on indestructable so where are they all hiding now then? "Revenge of the Spacehoppers"- Future Shock anyone? BTW did anyone else have spacehopper fights? ie. waiting til your parents weren't watching then picking the things up by the horns and walloping the shite out of each other with them. A bit like pillow fighting but with much greater potential for a trip to casualty.
Regards Jim.

More like Stab-you-under-the-fingernail Robot. That pointer of his was lethal.
