There's zero chance the change is permanent. If it was, you'd have seen a deluge of PR, surely.
"Iconic comic character Judge Dredd has died! Yes, we know Dredd is alive in the same comic, but that's "movie Dredd" and he's different. It's also not the US format Dredd, he'll be going for a while. Or the Aliens vs Predator Dredd, he'll be in a different continuity or something."
Dilutes the impact a bit, doesn't it?

What on earth is going on with her trousers? And why do the characters look nothing like the ones in the prog (even wearing different clothes)?

I think Cornell had him powered by self-belief, a bit like Gladiator of the Shi'ar.

Or Jose Mourinho.

I'm only just getting round to the Moore Crossed+100 and am enjoying it. The attempts to recover and understand pre-collapse culture remind me of A Canticle for Leibowitz. I've never read Riddley Walker, but I believe it does something similar with the language?

I started the original series, but it just reaffirmed everything I thought about Ennis as a writer.

As per the link in my post, station and airport outlets are excluded from the policy, which applies to high street branches only.  What this says about the commuting classes is anyone's guess. ;)

It amazes me how often I see someone "reading" a jazz mag on the train.

A common reason is to allow plausible deniability if somebody accuses them of stealing ideas.

But surely that logic would also mean that a writer shouldn't read novels or watch films?

A great interview, very enjoyable.

I was a bit confused when he was saying that he doesn't read comics. This is something that I've heard in a few interviews with artists and writers. I can understand that working in the field might mean you wouldn't read them for pleasure, but wouldn't you look at others' work out of professional curiosity at least?

DeMarco has, for the first time, lost me. I've no idea what's going on. Needs a reread. (Also, although I understand why ditching her fortune was a plot path to take, I'm not sure it benefits the character at all. I liked that part of her, and it afforded the strip opportunities that a lone, broke PI really doesn't.)

I read it thinking that I thought I must have missed an episode. Not a high point.

He has grown on me has Mr. Lee but his act could still do with a bit of pruning.

The brief appearance of Chris Morris also reminded me how good he was/is. He seems very quiet these days.

Just got the Mrs Ticket to Ride for Mothers day so looking forward to a game with the family on Sunday. Never played it but have only heard good reports.

There's an app version of Ticket to Ride, which is good for learning the rules as well as being an enjoyable game itself.

I dunno, I thought Hugh Laurie was convincing but Tom Hollander struggled. Strange, since he was excellent as a psycho in Hanna.

Great interview that really brightened up a long dull drive yesterday. The only low point was when a van drove into the back of my car (nobody hurt), but it seems churlish to blame Molch-R for that.

Heh. I did.something similar. I didnt think I'd missed the deal, but I did think "if this is half price, how much were they before?"

Same for me this morning! I assume the prices will change later today.
