Quote from: Barrington Boots on 07 May, 2024, 01:22:54 PMNot yet! It's a full bleed page with laminate speech bubbles, so I'm not really sure what I want to do with it with it. I should just get it up and be happy but the indecision is strong here! I think it looks nicer without the laminate...

I haven't got that Henry Flint page framed yet either.
Do it in a batch with the new Carlos one you are about to win 😉
The framer might give you discount 😄

Quote from: Barrington Boots on 07 May, 2024, 12:00:54 PMI'm tempted to take a punt at one of these but I'm still in dither mode - if I'm buying a Carlos Stront page and spending that much, I want one that's perfect. Box Paton is no Wulf sadly...

Don't dither if it means beans on toast for the next year then it's beans on toast 😁👍🏻

Waiting on a Wulf page May mean it's just toast 😂

Did you get that great Durham page framed yet?

Quote from: Vector14 on 07 May, 2024, 12:32:00 AMI can see that Proteus Vex is good, and it's a top thrill for most people here but I'm not really getting into it. I haven't read any of the previous series so I don't know whats going on.

Does the Another Dawn graphic novel cover everything up until now? I get the feeling it doesn't.

I was the same when jumped in at "the shadow chancellor" then when it was collected with "another dawn" I got the digital version and everything made much more sense and now it's a story I look forward to when it's on a run.
I'm currently at the same "lost" feeling with Brink!! I will get round to reading it as a continuous run and see if it all clicks

Quote from: Le Fink on 06 May, 2024, 04:29:43 PMI hope to bump into you all. I've slightly madly got a T-shirt made with my avatar so I'll be wandering around looking like a deranged perfume advert. So I'll be easy to avoid, at least. Anyway I'm a proper Southerner, tall slim glasses-wearing nerdy type, middle of age. Look forward to meeting some fellow boarders.

Cool Beans. I'll defo look out for you.

I'm proper northern (well from Merseyside and Sheffield so the south of proper northern) and look like a typical Sheffield Gammon (while promising I'm not a gammon and have much more liberal views!). Bald, middle aged and probably a little red of face by the time I arrive (though pasty and gray I'd imagine on Sunday if Saturday evening is as much fun as other cons I've attended!). Overweight of course too - but this is were the Sheffield comes in - but an inability to avoid middleclass outdoor excerise so infecting the middleclass parts of Sheffield mean there's hints I'm trying to do something about it... trying...
Cool! We can go for a run around Bristol!

Kidding. I'm kidding!
Down by the river is nice and not far away

Quote from: Colin YNWA on 01 May, 2024, 12:02:41 PMI had a go at a booking hotel this weekend and now I'm just playing chicken with the hotel prices so think I am.

Hooray!

Well that's super kind. Since I've just booked ticket, hotel and train its looks like I'm defo, defo in.

Let's see how happy you are when I actually see you - would be lovely to arrange a meet up but I'll also see if I can dig out my forum avatar badge that served me so well at the 40th.

Really looking forward to this now and meeting as many of you as possible.
Great to hear you are going - is it both days?
Just look for a mad Scotsman and his sidekick (wife) and say Hi.

If only I had won the euro millions 🙁 there's still a couple of chances before auction ends 🤞🏻

At least there's little risk of breaking a tooth on soup 😁

I've never had to queue that long for a sketch but I've had to leave my name & character and go back later that day to pick up a sketch especially if you are there right till the end (Dan Cornwell and Clint Langley are a couple had to come back for but they were well worth it. But most I've had sketched in front of you and boy it's amazing to see these things appear in front of you (Henry Flint and John Higgins are 2 that stand out among the many)
I'm managing around 4 sketches per day of attending.
But the talks and atmosphere are well worth it and I recommend a visit to Lyndon's table in the traders room for some cracking sketches.
Enjoy your day and wear a red carnation and I'll say Hi

I'll be making the trek from CalHab with the better half and she's not a comic buff but has always enjoyed the event. Su and her crew do an amazing job and make everyone feel welcome.

Quote from: The Bissler on 19 April, 2024, 11:36:55 AMCheers as always Trooper! Yes, it's the plan to keep publishing SD reports once a month for the foreseeable future (and same for Dredd reports) so, as we have plenty more in the pipeline, I'm delighted that you're still hungry for more!

Just love seeing the dynamics of the game and how the "baddies" can get the upper hand with a bit of luck

Another two cracking play throughs.

It's good to see that Alpha isn't always all powerful and the die can be a cruel mistress.

Looking forward to your next battle report.

Quote from: Mike Carroll on 05 April, 2024, 12:09:37 AMThat's fantastic! :) The Vex figure was very definitely one of my highlights of last year's Lawless, and Midnight is even better! Brilliant work as always, Trooper McFad!

Thanks Mike - Midnight is packing her bags to make the trip south this year as she's heard how good Lawless is 👍🏻😁

Thanks guys. I was sorely tempted to do a figure with an opening "mouth" but I couldn't (yet) get the hinge right to disappear when closed. But never say never I could always return and do another one
