The most common games console I notice when installing is a WII.

Hmmm.  I find the same in the houses of my kids' friends, who would be in the age range 3-8.  I suspect its appeal is vastly greater with parents whose families are at the lower age range, being both dirt-cheap for a console and far cheaper than letting your brats maul a tablet or smart phone, as well as having a good range of pre-school games and decent representation on Library shelves (which makes it virtually free).

I know we'd love a Wii U (sounds like the FX from War of the Worlds, but still better than Wii on its own) round our way.

Saw my first ad for this today- looks like a nice bit of kit.
I won't be getting one, but would be interested in a hands on review on any forum-ites shelling out for it this Crimbo.

I'd be queuing up outside HMV right now if they hadve released a bleedin Zelda game with it...
