Why didn't the MC-1 Judges just pile over to MC-2 in a fleet of H-Wagons and land in the sectors still held by MC-2 forces, or even in the Cursed Earth, on the outskirts of the city?

No, no, no - there's a perfectly straightforward answer. All you have to do is apply the wonder of RET-CON, the latest thing from the colonies.  All the American comics are using it, you know.

Obviously, Judge Cal is in charge of the scheme.  He wants to get Dredd out of the way, so he arranges for him to be sent on a suicide mission with a tiny team (one of whom is on the verge of cracking up) in a supposedly indestructable tank that he's really had copied from an old Matchbox toy.

When the scheme fails, he is forcede to resort to Plan B - to wit, Shooting Dredd Through The Head.

Presumably if he ever got his series back he'd be a god-king ruling Britain with near-infinite mind-power... posters everwhere saying MISTER SMITH HAS HIS EYE ON YOU and a huge pair of rat eyes...

Yeah, but he'd still be lumbered with his cockerney accent, cor blimey me old mukka.

I like how, in the latest reprint episodes in the Meg, it's taken them two days (yes, that's TWO DAYS, travelling across about two thousand miles of Cursed Earth hell in a slow-moving civilian convoy) to reach Sauron Valley, while it took Dredd in a one-of-a-kind super-duper Judge tank 24 days (according to the Dredd Files article in the same Meg) to reach the same point.

They don't. Dredd doesn't visit Sauron Valley at all, he goes through the remains of the 'Dinosaur National Park'. I always assumed that it was either a rival attraction or some sort of franchise a la Disney World and Disney Land.

Presumably there's a Parc National De Dinosaur in Euro-Cit somewhere...

McMahon would be great, thought decidedly impractical ...

It's funny you should say that ? I heard that the original movie makers tried to make some McMahon style boots, but they were so wide that they wouldn't turn properly and the first time Stallone tried them on he couldn't turn and walked straight into a wall where he left his radio microphone on when he was having oral sex with an extra and then Pele broke all his fingers and he let a goal in.

That is a True Movie Story!

OK, so in a straight no-guns fight, how the heck does everyone think Dredd would take out Godzilla?

Pshaw, Godzilla can't even beat Matthew Broderick!

He'd stand no chance against Dredd.

didn't kreeler say that he foun out johnny was a mutant while still in the womb? if the nuclear was thing happened in 2150 and johnny was born soon after (which i don't know coz i've read about 3 stront dog stories) and he met wulf in 2170 either the time lines mega dodgy or johnny looks a LOT older than he is...

He'd had a hard life...

Johnny does indeed look younger (slightly) during the flashback sequences of 'The Ragnorak Job', but remember that the majority of the stories are set 10 to 15 years later, making Johnny about 30 - 35.

The first story in Starlord one sets the date at 2080.

And, of course, he'd drawn by Carlos Ezquerra so his face looks like raw hamburger.

In 2170 he meets Wulf, but has a few adventures without him - in 2173 Alpha is working with Sniffer Martinez (see Cure for Kansyr in Starlord), and in 2176 hes working alone when he captures Sagan(?), the Demon Maker... Wulf makes mention of fighting in the Triton Wars (IIRC) during the Killing, so maybe he got conscripted for a few years!

Do I get extra continuity credit for pointing out that many of the alien races named during 'The Killing' also appear in the Dan Dare story 'The Moonsleepers'?

When is the book due for release?

Only when it's shown adequate remorse for its terrible crimes.

If you wanted to hamm the two continuities together, you could say that the 15 years work they did together is correct, but due to various time-travelling jobs, they ended up not quite in the right year at some point... but you're better off just ignoring Final Solution's timeline probably.

Ah, but Max Bubba has also been in jail for fifteen years...

BTW - I'm going to assume Bone Machine is right, so I won't bother looking up the answers myself anymore Si.

Hmmm, all that is from memory without checking properly - so it might not be completely correct!

1) What year did the nuclear war (which caused all the Strontium-90 stuff) happen? (and who caused/ended it?)

The Great War of 2150. 'Nobody ever knew who fired the first missile - but suddenly the whole world went crazy!', Portrait of a Mutant' episode two prog 201.  It seems to have only laster a few hours but killed 70% of the population of the planet.

2) What year did Johnny meet Wulf?

2170 in Johnny's time, 793AD in Wulf's time.  'The Ragnorak Job' episode two, prog 446.

3) What year did Wulf die?

Either 2185 or 2178, depending on which continuity you believe.

Johnny and Wulf have worked together for 15 years by the time of Wulf's death at the end of 'The Ragnorak Job', however, 'The Final Solution' is set in 2180 and Wulf's death is 'two years ago'. 'The Final Solution' episode two.

Continuity wise, I think it was the dead aliens found during 'The Exterminator' (or whatever it was called - time travel story drawn by John Burns) which was set in 1990 something.

Nah - her bum just DID look colossal, it's not like she was arresting perps and then asking them to comment on her attractiveness...
