No History of these prices! How about visiting the link below to Comic Book Postal Auctions. Then scroll down to 2000AD progs 1, 2 and 3 selling for ?551, ?551 and ?223. There is also plently of history on ebay with prog 2 going for ?365 and well over ?200 on many occasions. Prog 3 has also sold for around the ?200 mark before with free gift and in NM.

he got a real buyer to bid and pay well.
amazing price though. i would not pay that for prog 3 personally,

historically does the second appearance of a character (dredd)or the third issue(prog) of a publication ever reach the crazy heights of the american comics like batman and superman have in years gone by for first appearances?

to me it seems like a risk weighted purchase with view to storage and selling in years to come.

anyone here willing to spend that on prog 3.
i would not. prog 2 yes.with stickers.if the wife would allow it.
but not willingly on prog 3.

other thoughts?
