Get too it you 'Oribble rabble. Step in line and vote for your favourite military menace, or officious official. ITS A BLOODY ORDER DAMN YOU. Do it, do it now or you're first against the wall.

Pop the names of the two characters you'd like to progress into Round 2 in a reply to this thread and I'll count up early Wednesday 29th July.

War Marshal  Kazan (Judge Dredd) - https://villains.fandom.com/wiki/War_Marshal_%22Mad_Dog%22_Kazan
Van Owen (Skizz) -  https://britishcomics.fandom.com/wiki/Van_Owen
Traitor General (Rogue Trooper)  -  https://britishcomics.fandom.com/wiki/Traitor_General
Major Magnum (Rogue Trooper) - https://britishcomics.fandom.com/wiki/Major_Magnam
Thrax (Bad Company) - https://britishcomics.fandom.com/wiki/Thrax

What is all this nonsense? Well the 'rules' (ahem) for Round 1 are here:

And there's more about the structure of the tournament here:

Thrax and Major Magnam - they're on the right side, but they're both more dangerous to their own comrades than the enemy.

When I die, I want to die like my grandfather who died peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.

Old age is the Lord's way of telling us to step aside for something new. Death's in case we didn't take the hint.

Thrax - maybe the single most interesting character in BC. I sort of love that he never gets any kind of origin, so we're left to wonder - what's with the ears? Is he undead? How did he meet Shrike? What's he doing on Ararat? etc etc He's written so well you feel there are answers to these questions, we just haven't been given them. Classic example of a character with life beyond the page.

None of the others come close for me, but I suppose the Traitor General has been more of a story catalyst than any of the others, even if he remained so undeveloped that we still don't even know his name!

Great analysis of Thrax.

And Yeah the Traitor General is more of a macguffin than an actual character.

The war is almost won but the casulties are still in your hands. Get your votes in as I'll be wrapping this one up in the morning.
