Great that we are starting to see more of Pete Travis re Dredd. He did a fantastic job and I doo hope that )grud willing) he comes back for a sequel if it makes enough creds at the box office.
In fact the whole team should stick together....it ain't broke guys you just fixed it.
Let the Dragon ride again on the winds of time.

THIRLBY - Toronto Sun.  Dredd's Olivia Thirlby obsessed with her character

Andred Macdonald - Screen Daily,  Producer Andrew Macdonald talks future of Dredd trilogy

"Alex (Garland) has a very good idea for Dredd's journey. I certainly think it would be an exciting thing to be done. We've nailed a style and we have found in Karl Urban an absolutely magic Judge Dredd," Macdonald said. "It will be something that we will do again in partnership with IM Global. I am sure that, if it works, it's something that all the distributors will want to do again."

B-roll convinces me once again that film acting has to be so boring! Must take intense concentration to act when faced with such repetition as well as all that crew around you.

JOE SOAP

It'd be so boring pretending to be Judge Dredd, firing Lawgivers, riding Lawmasters; how do they do it!

CraveNoir

i forgot to link the b-rollllll? ..... gahhhhhhhhh!! bad toad.

DeFuzzed

Well, except for those bits *g* - but honestly, too much of it looks tedious.

Plus I hear it's pretty well paid.

How Much of an Impact Can Dredd Really Create?

If Dredd lives up to the incredible reception it has received so far, this film has the ability to create a huge impact on the comic book movie genre.

Alex Garland interview by Forbidden Planet. Good, new stuff, in-depth -

http://forbiddenplanet.co.uk/blog/2012/interview-alex-garland-on-dredd/#

"...in fact, I was discussing with the artist Jock only a couple of days ago about how a film like this would open and what images would be involved—it would start with Chopper. Chopper would send Dredd off into a mission of self discovery. You could say because Chopper is subversive and in some ways Dredd is an anti-hero, Dredd needs to examine the space that he's in. He needs to take a long hard look at the city and himself and Chopper could be the catalyst for that and that would lead you into an Origins-connected story...."

I don't even have the words to say how much I want that. Yearn! SO happy just having this Dredd film, but if a sequel doesn't happen, it's going to be heartbreaking.
