Maybe we could have a separate forum category for contests?  Not that I don’t love them and your effort but the first 2 rounds here are 200 new posts..

That’s a very cool development to covers uncovered. Auto-purchase.

that terrible John Byrne story from a Special

I loved that dredd.

I’m oot as I’m not mr statics biggest fan but 85 quid for an exclusive print, signature and edition that will doubtless rocket in value probably isn’t that bad. Bolland is in the pantheon of artists whose collectables are going to increase in price for a long time.

Let’s say if it was McMahon I’d be raiding my penny jar despite 150 being a absolute wedge of cash.

3A went:
Judge fish
Sam slade
Death - fear - Mortis

And got slated for uncommerciality.

Yes, but their prices were hardly competitive, and you had something like a 20-minute window at 2am in the morning in which to buy a new figure.

Their prices were what they were, a bit more than an equivalent hot toy that would sell x1000 more as it was marvel or whatever. 3A wasn’t cheap but I doubt anyone was making out gang busters off them.

The only 2000ad 3a which where time limited where the SDCC figures (alternate versions of gronk, fish & Rojaws) so the infamous 3A night-drops never applied. They kept orders open for Dredd, the dark judges and sam slade for months.

A Rogue Trooper action figure is long overdue, I couldn't agree more.
Would be nice to see some alternative 2000AD characters receive some love for a change rather than the Dreddverse usual suspects.

Couldn’t agree more - a couple from Kingdom/ Lawless/ Bad company/ Harlem Hero’s/ Dante  - just mix it up as it gets a bit repetitive when it’s always the same go to characters.

Then again I’ll probably still open the wallet if they produce anything 😁

Genuine question - does the lawgiver only eject casings on covers? I’m sure I’ve seen it before om covers but not that I’ve seen it in stripwork.

Bloody hell. Millennial Titans.

3-2to Ian.

Sadly durham red, dandridge and age of the wolf have all been complete nadirs of the prog to me, although none have been favoured by art that appeals imho. Durham Red doesn't even seem to be the same character. I’m sure AW is a lovely chap tho so it’s a regretful 5-0 to Morrison. And I don’t even like that guy.

Excellent - the hardcovers of this series are beautiful bits of design work.

5-0 Milligan.

Garth only became a writer once he left 2000ad, I love the man but his prog work is just a no for me.

Whereas Williams is the best c21 Dredd writer - he gets Wagner’s terse noble savage Dredd and creates great secondary characters.

5-0 Williams.
