Question for people who have bought artists commissions

Loads of good points made here so far. It definitely can be a bit of a waiting game, sometimes a very long waiting game. There's at least one person on this thread who has waited roughly two and a half years for me to start their commission. Thankfully though, no money has exchanged hands. With a bit of luck and a fair wind, he won't have to wait for three years. I can see some skies ahead. ;)

Thanks for all the help people. I'll take it into account when planning the next piece I order.

On a happier note the piece that I started this topic for arrived over the weekend and I'm totally chuffed with it  :D
