In the event that another Slaine chronicle is started after entire Book of Invasions ended.

Should C. Lanely stay on as the Artist for that character or should G. Fabry, M. McMahon, S. Bisley, G. Staples or D. Power resume their position, again.

Or new artist.

Does anyone have a opinion hwith this.

It would be great to have Glen Fabry back on Slaine, though it's most improbable. As it is, can't think of a better man for the job than Langley.

It would be great if McMahon would do more Slaine.
As for new artists I'd like to see Dom Reardom tackle Slaine.

Great if the McMahon of the 1980's was doing it, but by now McMahon would probably just draw him as a triangle with legs, albeit a fairly stylish one.

I dunno, not sure if there's much point going back, great though McMahon and Fabry were.

I doubt Rebellion could afford either McMahon or Fabry now, which is a shame.

Hmm. The more I think about that, the more I like the idea. Mind you, Sl?ine is one of the few characters from 2000 AD that I'd like to see in "flashback" format, in black and white, rather than stretching the current scenario to breaking point.

While I wouldn't say that C. Lanley has been the best artist, I would mention that his work just stands out more.

I was going to mention though that a return to the black & white ink would be a bit hard to take after the explosian of S. Bisley's, G . Staple's, D. Power's colour and the decision to colourise G. Fabry's work on 'Demon Killer'.

Not that I am altogether opposed to monchrome.

 C. Lanely's work is on par with all the other good 2000AD artists as well. I'm not surprised that he has drawn/painted for Warhammer 40,000. He oil pianting/photo shop work are certainly in a class of their own.

I use to compare S. Bisely's art from 'The Horn God series to the art work of Richard Corben. A very colourful artist I found out about the few times I have collected 'Heavy Metal' magazine. Famous for 'The Bodydessy' and 'Den'

He draws everything big and colurful, a obivious influence from the 60's. But I like it.

It would be interesting to see this guy do art for Slaine.

There is also L Elmore's, J Easley's, C Caldwell's work on Dragonlance and pretty much, most of Dungeons & Dragons.

G & T Hilderbrant's work on the Shannara series and  calender speical for 'Lord of the rings and 'The Hobbit'.

Though their work is good, it does lack the certain x-factor of what makes 2000Ad, what it is to me. It's sort of like comparing the Vienna school boys choir to MTV.

Though, I still much prefer the work of the original 2000Ad artist that I ahve mentioned before.

I reckon Steve Roberts could do a good job.
