Aren't digital sales largely unreported (by Marvel/DC at least) though? So its hard to actually track actual sales and impact?

Finding out Inferior Five has been cut from 12 issues to 6 has got me right pissed off. Giffen and Lemire's are killing it.

Oh no I hadn't heard that, really enjoying the series. Where did you read this?

The cover of issue 3 says 6 issue limited series. After the first 2 said 12. DC has offered no explanation yet.

Crazy stacked week for me this week...

Getting...

2000 AD 2156
LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES 01
INFERIOR FIVE 03
NO ONE LEFT TO FIGHT 05
COPRA 02
JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE - PART 4 VOL 03
TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES - URBAN LEGENDS 18

It's great having an on-going Legion title again, and even though I'm not a big Bendis fan his enthusiasm seems real enough.

Finding out Inferior Five has been cut from 12 issues to 6 has got me right pissed off. Giffen and Lemire's are killing it.

Copra is another barn burner. If you're at all a fan of mid 80s DC the better parts of early Image, or just like crazy action Copra is for you.

Haven't read the rest, but Jojo should be it's usual trip, and No One Left To Fight has been one of my top mini-series of this year, sad to see it end.

IMO

The best DC comics right now are Hawkman and Freedom Fighters. Both by Robert Venditti. Dial H for HERO is by far the best Wonder Comics title, Sam Humphries's story is solid, but what Joe Quinones is doing with the art is the real standout reason to read this book.

I wish Shazam! and Curse of the Black Knight were better. They're fine, but have become rather unexciting.

Kieth Giffen and Jeff Lemire's Inferior Five maxi-series is probably going to be a massive sleeper hit in about 6 months. The first 2 issues are incredible and I don't expect it to let up any time soon. Don't sleep on it if you're a Giffen fan, or are into Jack Kirby send-ups.

Looking forward to Tom King's next big series, Strange Adventures. I love Adam Strange and King's brand of character introspection. Also Doc Shaner & Mitch Gerads's art.

EDIT: Oh oh, Daniel Warren Johnson is doing a post-apoc Wonder Woman mini-series that's going to be incredible. Because everything Johnson does is.

Very exciting stuff at DC.

Green Lantern 12 - Morrison, yes Grant Morrison, has failed to keep me on board for the next arc(s). All seemed a bit shallow. Cut!

I really want to like this series, and I get what Morrison is going for. But it really is just a bunch of crazy ideas tossed at you in a rapid fire manner and if it wasn't for the incredible Liam Sharp I'd have probably dropped it a while back. And I'm not an 'art guy' by and large.

No Sharp on Darkstars means I'm also off. Oh well, there's more then enough amazing DC books to replace it with right now.

I'm no fan of Linsner, but I seriously don't see a problem with that cover besides the reason you hire Linsner to begin with.

Weird to see Defoe relegated to floppy. Surely there's been enough material released since The Damned to put out a proper collection? The Damned, The London Hanged... that one-shot in the 2014 Winter Special? Maybe sales fell off? I don't like Defoe that much, but I thought it was still a primer 2000 AD strip right now.

The first issue really felt like an extended set up, reexplaining the end of the first series and only slightly set up the new story. And Even though it's still called 'White Knight'. I'm not super thrilled Joker is still integral to the story.

Also, this time around there are going to be one-shot specials highlighting other characters. The first one is about Von Freeze, and it's not drawn by Murphy. Which makes this go around feel a lot less special then the first series. More commercial, if that makes sense.

We shall see.

All I would say is, you don't write Judge Dredd, you write Mega City 1 and incorporate Dredd.

Been a while since we saw MC1. The early episodes of Sons Of Booth, maybe.

The World According to Chimpsky & The Samaritan were both Mega City One Stories featuring Judge Dredd. IMO

IMO I don't think we need another Judge Dredd. But we could really use another Nikolai Dante. Something regular recurring, bombastic, high adventure, and a little scandalous.  I can't think of anything since that really hit its mark, even temporarily.
