Sorry apologies I've been a dope. Can  I alter my last vote 5 to James Newell it was his Death gag and not Darren Stephens, whose work deserves a HM by the way!

I will fight you on this, Owen!

I'll only count that as a single vote.

Your move ;)

BrotherGrotusk

Yes just the one for Mr Newell in 5th position please. It was a simple mistake putting the wrong name down  they were both on the short list!

Massive respect to everyone that put in that much effort, it's harsh having to decide out of all those and everyone should get a prize as they say. However it's with much chewing of nails that I've gone for:

1st - Steve Austin - Dark Judges. I'm a sucker for the classic gothic style & all it's terrifying glory.

2nd - Fiona Boniwell - Nausea. That knocks it out of the park, horrifying and utterly beautiful. Only comes 2nd as it's just the one Dark Judge... sorry  :(

3rd - Andy Lambert - Dark Judges. An incredible amount of work has gone into this. Mortis is outstanding!

4th - Allistermac - Fire. A stunning & eye catching image that brings reality leaping off the screen.

5th - Dark Jimbo - Judge Gunderson. Great vision and something we all would like to see face Dredd down one day?

HM's; Neil McClements'; -Fire, -Mortis, -Fear, -Death in that order.

Bravo to you all!

Okaaayy non-subscribers 2000ad day voting.

1] Andy Lambert. Ace posturing, painting and working of lighting throughout.
2] SKD. Posturing, lighting, 2000ad ethos, the lot. If I wasn't casting ensembles in front of singular pin-ups this'd be on top.
3] James Newell. Wonderful humour. You can see this as some kind of insert in the annuals or such like.
4] IAMTHESYSTEM. Brilliant soft strokes depicting brutal harshness.
5] Larf. Red Death, what more can I say? I've already said too much!

HMs. MrLong. Again I chose ensemble over figures to emphasis a voting strategy. Mr Long's is way up there.
Fiona Boniwell. Awesome portrayal and singularly tackling the sisters.
Phew... so many different approaches going on eh???
Paul Moore. For his opening gambit and precision looseness.
Stu101. Like a child who lived through Necropolis, grows up and is still haunted by his near death experiences. ;)
Rugers. A fever dream collage. Fantastic.

"bULLshit Mr Hand man!"
"Man, you come right out of a comic book. "

Hey folks, sorry if this is a bit late - I've only just registered!

This is the first time I've taken part in a contest, and the competition is very strong indeed! Kudos to everyone who submitted artwork, it really has been a pleasure to look through them!
Here are my chosen 5:

1) MrLongThe Artist: Even Death Can Dream   Wonderfully playful and beautifully rendered.
2) Steve Austin: Dark Judges                         Stunning artwork that makes me wish I could be as good!
3) Neil McClements: Fire                                I love this take on Fire, and Neil's style of art is so striking!
4) James Dilworth: Sidney                             Fantastic painting, easily worthy of appearing in 2000ad.
5) Paul Moore: Movie Judge Death                  Great ink and line work and a nice interpretation of Death.

Special Mentions: Neil McClements: Fear, Supersurfer: Ultimate Justice, Rugers: Death Is Law, SKD: Mortis.... heck, everyone deserves special mention...!

Third Estate Ned

After long and hard consideration, my votes are for:

1) Judge Mortis by Neil McClements - a threatening and solid image
2) The Dark Judges by Philtactics - full of manic energy
3) Judge Mortis by SKD - loved the clean and assured shading
4) Dark Judges by Steve Austin - aggressive and action packed
5) 'Tears for Fears' by Eamonn1961 - it made me laugh

HM) "A Nice Day in Spring" by Moy-A - I just think it's a cool image and well done.

Thanks to all involved and CFM for the hard work.
