Looking at the list for this year there are some interesting ones including Asterix Olympic Special but interestingly there seems to be no 2000AD/Rebellion title shown. Have they decided not to do one this year or is it not being promoted yet like the DC ones

Oh that would be a real shame. Mind it does seem like FCBD was making it harder and harder for Rebellion to put out the comics it wanted to. For a good few years they were by far the pick of the bunch in terms of original content.

Yeah... it did seem like every year there'd be some change in the specifications or the 'rules' which didn't remotely affect US publishers putting out a 16-page pamphlet with four pages of reprint and twelve of ads, but somehow seemed to uniquely disadvantage Rebellion's product. Not sure what all that was about...

It half felt like Rebellion was just showing up the major players for what they were, and the 2000 AD stuff was too good. So that couldn't stand.

It seems bizarre that the FCBD organisers wouldn't want publishers to offer a product that might create interest in comics.

Perhaps the "Big-Hitters" don't like being shown up by people that just want to produce good comics and tell good stories.
