Yeah. Love Boo Cook's work when he burst onto the scene. Have we really not had Asylum?

having listened to a couple of these i do not think they worked. Too faithful to source. It is being adapted into another medium so needs changes or hard to follow.

What I think the Big Finish Dredds did so well. Although it did take a while to get into the swing of things.

The damage they do perhaps?  obvs the ads work or they wouldn't be doing so many, and gambling especially online, is a horrible addiction: whole lives, families and communities destroyed.

So by extension there should be no alcohol ads?

Same here Shark, apart from the odd ad-read on a podcast, my life is largely ad free...

...if I didn't like sport.

How are gambling ads legal?

To look at this from the other side... why would they be illegal?

Most of my copies are still in cellophane so I'm getting through reading them in fits and starts.

am struggling with ABC Warriors though. Just started Book 3 after slogging through 2. Maybe its because every episode feels quite packed. I think it's one of those strange strips that is actually better weekly rather than collected.

In comparison I'm streaking through SinDex 3.

Just read The Small House collection for the first time. I fairly motored through that in a couple of days. What a good series of stories. Apart from the weird alien invasion bit.

Literally just received Tales of the Telguuth as part of my sub!

And with it Part 2 of Defoe.

Defoe is bonkers isn't it? Is there any actual rules to this universe? Seems to be weird shit happens, then weird shit happens, then weird shit happens. Why square bullets for zombies? Think I should hold on and enjoy the ride.

My goodness. How good is Brink? I didn't like the artwork for it at first (the faces still annoy me) but it is perfectly suited to the story.

Well happy to be introduced to this.

I remember The Variety! Wasn't one of my most frequented pubs, but did use it sporadically.

Actually clocked the name change when I was doing a virtual tour of Preston a few months ago.

Might even make a trip of it and bring them up to you!

Sounds good to me! It would be appropriate for his stuff to end up in a pub.

Which pub do you have? Lived in Preston for three years last century.

Classifieds / Free to a good home - Star Trek GNs

Hey everyone,

Just before Christmas my father sadly died and I've since been spending an inordinate amount of time sorting out his flat.

One of the things he did have which surprised me were the first 20-odd issues of the Eaglemoss partworks collection for Star Trek Graphic Novels. https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Star_Trek_Graphic_Novel_Collection#Special_Editions:_Crossover_and_Miniseries_releases

These aren't really my bag, so I wondered if anyone on here would like them? I can ditch them at a charity shop but I'd rather they go to a good home. There seems to be a lot based around the new films.

He presumably paid about £250 for these things. Many are still sealed and we still have the bookends and strange tin covers and tinbox with movie posters in. No lapel badge though.

The only snag - these are in Manchester and will need to be picked up. I aint going any posting as I still have a lot on my plate - but they are in immaculate condition.

It's East Manchester so closer to Sheffield/Leeds than Liverpool, but by no means inaccessible.

So any takers? Free to a good home.

As we won’t be seeing them in the Hachette collection I got Mazeworld and Summer Magic collections from the tooth sale. Really liked Luke Kirby but think it needed to step up a gear if it was to continue in any way.
