The way I look at it, the difference between a story that's been influenced by something else and one that's a total rip-off is this...

A story that borrows another's main idea, (or core concept, if you prefer),  has been heavily influenced by it.

A story that takes another's concept but also takes entire scenes from the story with little or no alterations is a total rip-off.

There were definitely scenes set in France in the telly programme. I can remember seeing a shot of a ruined Eiffel Tower.

I can also remember a message appearing along the bottom of the screen announcing that Prince Harry had just been born during a scene in which I think Beanpole and the lead character chappy were sitting at a table waffling on about something.

I've just been looking at a Being Human fan page on Facebook. The amount of people "becoming fans" is going up at one heck of a rate.

I would take that as a good indication of its popularity.

This programme is actually really quite good, isn't it?

Quote from: "Mr normal"and Bizarley enough Duck McScrooge (donald Duck charater) Who had some wonderfull books but only ever in French. This was back in the early seventies.

Shouldn't that be Scrooge McDuck or is that some odd French translation of the name?

I can see Iznogoud (he wants to be Caliph instead of the Caliph), on that page. I've got an old Iznogoud book somewhere.

There's something very familiar looking about this chappy on the same site... //http://www.cinebook.co.uk/catalogue~cat~A-008-036B.asp

I haven't seen Project Catwalk but I don't think I'd be interested.

Unless it involves training felines to walk on their hind legs like human people, preferably while wearing hats and waistcoats. I'd watch it then.

Funny you should say that....

Well it does look human, it's just that his nails could do with a bit of a trim, (and the proportions are a bit dodgy but I'll let that pass 'cos it's not easy getting them right).

You certainly seem to be a lot better at the landscapes. No reason not to keep practising with the figure drawing though.

Never mind, it's obviously some kind of beasty person. Just noticed the pointy nails on the hands and feet in the other pic, and yeah, the chappy in my picture only has 3 fingers too.

Why's that last pic only got 3 fingers and a thumb on each hand?

...and I just listened to "Everyone's At It" or whatever it's called and it reminds me of the tune that plays in CJ's Elephant Antics on the ZX Spectrum.  So I like that Lily Allen song too. :D
