Megazine / Re: Megazine 357 - The Devil In the Red Dress

I agree with the rather scary looking MacRoth fella.  I've noticed that it doesn't actually take very long to read the Meg at the moment despite the page count.  Reaper is the main reason, as I just flick past it but it's not the only offender.  Imagine if the whole (or most, being realistic) of the Meg was as good as the current Dredd story and Angelic.  A round up of what the great and the good are up to sounds interesting for the usual I/v slot...

It's seeing Chris Weston's cover that sucked me back in to this comic art craziness after all these years...

As has been said many times on this thread, in the flesh it's just amazing.  I'd post Kleggy up, but Pete Wells' superb covers site has that covered with better scans than I could do.

DR & Quinch, only those 2 got close to Dredd in my affections...

I'm not sure I'm uploading it quite right, but anyway...

I got the commission below for Christmas.

The scruffy fella, with the dubious reading material is the Ennis and Fabry creation 'Kev'.

Not sure I've quite got the hang of this...

Any pointers gratefully received!

Sure: http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=104627

In the meantime, these are the 2 pages that started it all off for me back in the late 80s...when art was cheap but a crappy 14'' telly cost a month's wages!

Not sure how well they'll come out, as I had to shrink the KB size a lot...

Hi Strontium71 - New to the forum, but also sorry to hear you're having to sell some stuff...

If you can bear to part with it, I'm interested (I sent a pm to you but not sure it worked as I'm just getting used to the workings of it all)

Just joined the forum, incredible stuff on this thread chaps!

Love the Esquerra pages above - it's not often you see Durham Red looking shocked.

I've got a few pages to upload, but still working on shrinking them down to an acceptable amount of KBs...

(Some are on CAF, but hopefully they'll stand up to a second viewing if anyone's seen them already...)

Thanks Colin!

The Original Art and Commissions threads are where I did much of my lurking - some really great stuff there.

When I head over, I'll try and whip out something of interest!

Welcome to the board / London Calling!

Hi all,

Not actually a particular fan of the Clash, just happen to be from London.  I've been lurking for a while now but having seen a lot of interesting posts recently I thought I'd actually join.  I especially wanted to vote in the cover of the year poll.

I'm a big fan of early 80s classic 2000ad and the artwork.  I only actually started full-time with the prog when Chopper was heading to Oz but gradually read and collected back to prog 1. After a pretty long break from 2000ad starting in the late 90s to a few years ago, I'm back with a dual subscription and intend to keep it that way.  (I'm rather less impressed with Hachette's efforts, still waiting for my volumes 2 & 3 and free gifts!)

Having bought a couple of 2000ad pages in the late 80s, my interest in the original artwork has also recently returned with a disturbing intensity...
