Thanks Jimbo. I'd forgotten most of that. I always found it a bit unsatisfying and hard to follow week by week. Looking forward to reading it collected.

The Stickleback volume contains:

Mother London
England's Glory
London's Burning
Twas The Night Before Christmas

Exactly 200 pages of strip, by my count.

How much more Stickleback is left after this? I can only recall the follow up when
he is resurrected then revealed to be S Holmes at the end
- or did this take place over more than one book?

Still no prog in CalHab. Judging by the lack of reviews on here, I guess I'm not the only one. Maybe Tharg will knock another 50% off shop purchases  ;) ?

Was about to go for Brink 3 and Luke Kirby, then realised the next Casefiles is out at the end of the month...

The prog's not really doing it for me at the moment. The Dredd was OK but most of this story has been a generic gangster tale that hasn't really grabbed me. Scarlet Traces - have we seen these characters before? If we have I've forgotten them, and if we haven't, then I struggle to see why I should care about them after just a couple of episodes. What happened to the main characters from previous series? Max Normal I find too wordy, Kingmaker is fine, and the less said about the FS the better.
So I'm marking time until the next clear out - next prog may prove an interesting diversion.

Skip Tracer - I'm confused. Can anyone tell me how he disarms the bomb, and then somehow sends another (the same?) bomb to the baddies' HQ?

For me , the Prog Cover was good - and it does the job intended -
its makes you aware that my favourite strip ( apart from Strontium Dog ) is back , Jaegir

For me it doesn't do that job at all well. I didn't find the Nort logo at all obvious, just a blur of colours. And using red on black for the word Jaegar meant that it didn't stand out for me. I'm a long time subber, so I'm buying it anyway, but if I were a casual reader and a Jaegar fan I'd be in danger of not noticing this on the rack.

Not a great prog for me.

Dredd - how can 2 holograms fight each other? Not keen on the art.     2/5
Brink - brilliant as ever, though Bridge seems to have had a gun pointing at her for several weeks now. Glad we're heading for the resolution.      4/5
Skip - as has been said, standard 90s fodder.     2/5
3filler - whatever.          2/5
Fiends - this is well done, but not really my thing.      3/5

Looking forward to Thistlebone. Do we know what's replacing Brink, which can't have much more left?

Re: what's been happening in Caballistics Inc, I went into the loft this morning to dig out the last episode 'Nativity' from 2007. Basically, following Kostabi's supposed final defeat, the authorities, including Absolam, are worried that he might reappear in Ravne and Demon Jenny's child, yet to be born, so they are hatching a plot to deal with that. The story ends with a 19th century British soldier being reanimated in Sudan, in order to carry out a job, as yet unspecified (though it may relate to the above). No word on the critically injured Chapter and Verse.

In my head I'd thought the story had been fairly well concluded, though reading this, it clearly hasn't!

Thinking of picking up the meg again, but I'm a bit annoyed that the collected Dominion couldn't have been issued first, given that this seems to contain the sequel. Will it spoil too much if I see the first part of The Torture Garden first?

From what I've seen, you'd probably be best to read the Dominion book first. I would still buy the 400th issue though because the Dominion book comes out Oct 18th the same week as part 2 of the Torture Garden (Oct 17th), so you'd only have to wait one month and then be able to fully catch up. I think those date are correct looking at Previews.

Thanks, may well do that.

I seem to recall about a 10 year gap between Nemesis books 9 and 10. Every few years there would be a filler story to remind us what was going on and set up the finale. Presume it'll be these, and maybe the Deadlock solo as an epilogue?

In other news... so Frank Weitz now has an ancestor?
Good spot! I'd forgotten his name (the main protagonist in Armoured Gideon).
