Anyone else had two payments taken in September ?

IndigoPrime

I've had two payments taken twice so far. Once was by request (to rebalance the collection so I was getting issues sooner), and the second was in a month where one was taken right at the start and another at the end (Jul 1 and 22). Since the collection is fortnightly, there will always come a point when people get charged twice in one month. (If you got charged twice on the same day, however, that's obviously an admin error.)

moly

It was collected at the start and end of the month will keep my eye on it although It is fortnightly and you only get one delivery a month so should only be one payment a month

IndigoPrime

I suspect it's more like every four weeks, otherwise by the end the subscribers would be months behind.

Block Mania and Father Earth both have episodes by Ron. And there's The Day the Law Died, Judge Child and City of the Dawned to come. I'm hoping Nosferatu will appear but would that have been included in Alien Nations?

haven't seen these in smiths for a while now, have they gone to only selling them sub? I remember seeing the marvel ones in forbidden planet but haven't been able to get to Manchester for over a year now through health problems which I plan to resolve whilst things are (slightly) improving/not getting worse.
I aslo mean to raid that smelly book/junk shop (exchange?) on the way to picadilly haven't had a good root in smelly boxes of comics in ages!
don't get into an argument with an idiot,he'll drag you down to his level then win with experience!

I saw one of these about a month ago in one of the Waterloo WHSmith stores. But locally (north Hampshire) they've not been sold anywhere mainstream beyond the first half-dozen issues.

Glad to buy Total War this morning in WHSmiths at Paddington. There's a couple of pages where the type looks heavy in the speech bubbles but nothing serious. Great interview with Henry Flint. This series just gets better!

Looking forward to this one. Cherry picking is getting harder and harder.

Hope the eventual City of the Damned collection has the colour spreads. Instant purchase if so!

wouldn't bank on it based on their current track record.  :|

The OZ colour pages looked great, but I'd rather the unpainted stuff stayed b&w. The old colouring wouldn't look great unless it was completely redone.

Would be disappointed if they are only selling to subscribers, but I am a bit surprised to hear that. I phoned them up the other day and ordered some issues with out subscribing and they were happy to sell them to me.

Also Forbidden Planet stocks them and has them for order on their website, so it should still be possible to get them without subscribing. I hope so anyway  :)

It's a joke. I was joking.

I think people are speaking in shorthand. Essentially, only a tiny number of mainstream outlets carries these books now. A few newsagents and some specialists also do. Beyond that, you must subscribe or buy single issues direct.
