Brink was... actually, better not say. Tell you tomorrow

...the solution to Wordle.

I failed to get it, despite having the “r”, “i” and “n” in the right place after my third guess. I was kicking myself when I saw what it was.

Break the bank and get Bolland to do it.

I do not like the concept of reboots but I am sot sure what should happen so I will say keep the status quo as is.

This for me. Just carry on as it is. He was already told by a Med Judge that he was good for another couple of decades and then had a rejuve treatment.

So basically I ignore his age and just read the strip.

Also how come the Jedi & Sith are way more powerful than we’ve ever seen before? For example using the force to stop escaping ships, moving a load of rocks, surviving being bombarded by said rocks.

And how come the don’t use that level of powers again? For example in any of the films?

I like Dash Decent, but it’s got to be Meltdown Man in this battle of the Prog 178 starters.

I’ve yet to get round to reading (or should that be re-reading given I read it in the Progs?) the Abnett & Harrison Ultimate Collection Scarlet Cantos, which came out two years ago. And I do want to see more of the more recent version, but I look forward to Feral and Foe much more.

I’ve seen comments else where that it’s not as good as some other similar strip published else where, but since I don’t even know what that is, I’m going to ignore it.

For me it’s simply good fun and I welcome it every time it’s it the Prog. I’d even go as far as to say if the Abnett Elson combo can only do one strip at a time, I want it to be this over Kingdom.

That sequence of the Star Destroyer pursuing the escaping ship, was just full of holes.

Why can’t  the Empire shoot straight? Or having caught up most of the way, given the decent head start the escaping ship must have had, assuming  the amount of time it must have taken Vader to return to the Star Destroyer since the end of the last episode, why couldn’t they actually catch up all the way?

And how come Vader tolerates such bad marksmanship?

Sorry late to the party here.

For a consistent run of weekly Dredds it’s got to be Niemand.

Then add a bit of Rob Williams for a special story.

I think Mike Carroll is a fine writer, but find his Dredd’s don’t quite have the tone right. I can’t put my finger on why not, but they just don’t feel quite right to me. I think he is much better on his own strips like Proteus Vex and Dreadnoughts, which are both modern classics.

Eccleston for me. Just a shame there wasn’t more of it.

Then probably Tennant over Smith.

I like Jodie Whitaker’s portrayal, it’s just that the scripts are so poor. Take the New Year’s episode as an example. Once it had been established the Daleks  would kill them and they would come back, every time, they was just no jeopardy. As for the Sea Devil’s episode, sorry that just made no sense to me.

My least favourite of this bunch has to be Capaldi. Then again I never watched the Thick of It and had no idea who he was. I remember the Beeb had this big unveiling show and I was like “who?”.  Not to say he isn’t a good actor, he just didn’t feel right to in this part.

Strontium Dog is just such a fundamental part of my childhood. But also my reading of comics as an adult.

Johnny always had the coolest kit:

Westinghouse variable cartridge blaster /Number 3 cartridges / Number 4 cartridges.
Time bombs.

It was a strip that could do comedy capers and heavy social / politically commentary.

It had some of the greatest art and writing ever in the Prog.

I guess I could just cut and paste the following for whatever thrill comes up against it:

I love <insert name of thrill> - it’s classic but up against Strontium Dog, it’s not even close.

So we have already had a whole load from the Judge Dredd strip including:

Anderson PSI Division
Cadet Anderson
Judge Death/ young Death/ dark Judges
Mean Machine / Angel Gang.

Are you not counting those as the spin offs already exist?

As for others, I really like PJ, but arguably he has already had a whole load of his strips, it’s just that they were in the main Dredd strip.

In theory a Ukko strip sounds great, but in reality I’m not sure how much mileage there would actually be in it.

Billy Octavo is a good shout, but again not sure how much mileage there would really be in it.
