Forbidden Planet have sent out an email saying that the comics that were originally due to ship on 26th March will now be available on 11th May. Not sure if this means that all comics will start up again or if just the ones that were held up after their arrival have been allowed to be delivered to the comic shops, atleast we  can get some new comics in the next few weeks

The people behind the Free Comic Book Day have decided to postponed this years event until later in the summer due to the Coronavirus outbreak

Den of Geek have reported that Syfy are making a 10 part series of the George A Romero 1985 film "Day of the Dead"and is due for release in 2021.
They describe it as an "ode to Romero's famous flesh-eaters" and that it will focus on six strangers thrust together in an attempt to survive the first 24 hours of an undead invasion.

The ComicScene Magazine are putting together a directory of Publishers and creators in the comic scene throughout the U.K., Ireland, Australia, Canada and the USA. It is free to go in the directory and is open to all Publishers, Writers, Artists, Letterers and Colourists whether your work is a small indie title/publication or if you work on a major title you can all be added. They are also interested in if you are able/willing to do workshops for schools and libraries.

Just seen the UK premier of the first episode of apple tv's new series See staring Jason Mamoa at MCM.

In the distant future, the human race has lost the sense of sight, and society is left to find new ways to interact, build, hunt and survive. Meanwhile, blind warrior Baba Voss' wife gives birth to a set of twins. To his tribe's amazement, the twins can see. As word spreads, it gets the attention of a cynical queen who will stop at nothing to get her hands on the twins. In order to protect his children, Voss is forced to rely on his instincts and must rally fellow tribes to take down the queen and her tyrannical cult before they can capture the children.

It starts off with a massive battle between Manoa's tribe and the witch finders who are hunting his pregnant wife from before she joined the tribe, they have to flee their land and head out to find a new place to live where they find out that the babies can see.

The battle is a spectacular fight scene with the premise that both sides are blind and are having to use their other senses to find the enemy and not attack their people.

This is definitely worth a watch when it starts on the 1st November

MCM have announced their first major comic artist for the October con

Legendary comic creator George Pérez is to make his final UK convention appearance at MCM London this October, giving his many fans in Europe the chance to celebrate one of the industry's best-loved figures. Formally announcing his retirement earlier this year, Pérez has thrilled readers with his art for over four decades, drawing for a host of landmark Marvel and DC titles.

On Saturday 28th September in Watford, Swapmeet 5 is a chance for people to buy, sell or swap classic British comics such as  Action, Starblazer, Battle/War picture Library, Whizzer and Chips, Warlord, Victor, Air-Ace and 2000AD.
It only costs £1 to  attend or if you want to sell/swap comics at the event tables are only £7.50

Legendary UK comics artist Mike Dorey is attending LFCC this year(apparently only his second con)
In the early years of 2000AD he illustrated Ro-Busters, ABC Warriors, Invasion, Mach 1, Mach Zero, Rogue Trooper and Tharg's Future Shocks, among many others.

Once again Hachette have sent out a copy of their eighties covers book despite asking them not to, so instead of going through the hassle of sending back and trying to get a refund from them i have put it on eBay

Starburst have reported  that the new Swamp Thing has been cancelled after show just one episode in the US which is a shame as the first episode was really good with a new twist on the relationship between Abby Arcane and Alec Holland and the creation of Swamp Thing
