It flopped through my letterbox this morning! Looks absolutely great and has now taken its place on the end-of-sofa 'to read' pile.

I certainly did- both of them. You've got a good thing there, and I will be back for the next one.

And as an aside, the more El Bigote, the better. El Chivo's art alone on this installment was fantastic- brilliant page layouts and storytelling. Great stuff.

Hot on the heels of the success of issue 28, I've decided to go full steam ahead with issue 29!
Well, I have all the artwork in already so why not?

Join Spencer Nero in a double length adventure as he goes all Doug McClure on a zeppelin full of Nazis along with  episode three of A Mynx Tale, classic Bulldog and more!

Expect a Kickstarter launch next week!

To entice you in, here's the big opening splash page from BULLDOG, written by Jason Cobley (Commando, Blazer) with art by Joe Ahern and Paul Harrison-Davies.

Grab yourself a bloody good comic by backing the Kickstarter here;

Only one backer away from hitting target on the Kickstarter!

Grab a brilliant comic - you could even add a t-shirt - by clicking the link. The comic only costs £3 and there's a lot more bang for your buck (Or should that be punch for your pound?) than in your regular American comics!

Issue #29 also includes a double length episode of El Bigote as he comes up against a ghost galleon of Conquistadors!
Script by Matt McLoughlin, art by the late, great Stephen Prestwood.
It is not to be missed!

18 pages of El Bigote - the undead Mexican bandit who fires deadly quills from his 'tache.
15 pages of Spencer Nero; the British agent who finds inhuman strength when he dons the Janus mask - all the better for punching Nazis and riding dinosaurs.
Plus part three of the further adventures of Icarus - the boy whose homemade wings melted and plunged to earth only to be rescued by aliens.
And a classic Bulldog - the anthropomorphic defender of the skies above Blighty as he thwarts a sabotage attempt by Vegenation spies.

It all adds up to the best small press anthology around! Only TEN days left on the Kickstarter - back it today!

As one reader said;
"The British small press is flourishing at the moment, and comics like PARAGON are at the core of why that is- sheer love, passion and enjoyment for the comics form is evident from every page. Particular mention must be made of ... EL BIGOTE- which is one of my favourite things in the world. I could stare at every panel for ages- and this one has several whole pages that are just awe-inspiring."
Those kind of comments make my bitter old heart almost glow with happiness!
So if you like a comic that isn't a pastiche or homage of the comics you grew up with in the 70's and 80's such as Valiant, Eagle, 2000AD or Warrior but is a continuation of that style then PARAGON is for you!

#29 sees cover star SPENCER NERO go all Doug McClure with him fighting a zeppelin full of Nazis - and dinosaurs! Written by Greg Meldrum, illustrated by Scott Twells, letters by Filippo (Blazer, The 77)
El Bigote - the undead Mexican bandit who fires deadly quills from his moustache - is back in a double episode as takes on zombie Conquistadors! Featuring art from the late, great Stephen Prestwood.

Also included this issue; more classic Bulldog from the archives written by Commando and Brawler contributor, Jason Cobley. The anthropomorphic defender of the skies above Blighty comes up against a spy from the Vegenation! Who needs James Bond when you have BULLDOG!

Part Three of Icarus Dangerous; A Mynx Tale by Dirk Van Dom and Scott Twells. You know the story of Icarus, right? The boy who flew too close to the sun and melted his wings and fell to earth? And was rescued by aliens? Oh, you don't know that bit? You should read this story!

Rewards this time around include a splendid Spencer Nero t-shirt and the opportunity to buy issues 27, 28 and 29 for just a tenner - an absolute bargain!

Click the link and bag a brilliant comic (or three!)
There are only FIVE days left on the Kickstarter - you don't want to miss out!

But what's inside? I hear you ask.

How about an historical Bulldog story, written by Jason Cobley (Commando) and drawn by Garen Ewing (The Phoenix).

Back the Kickstarter - already halfway there!
