General / Re: Dredd directors cut in 2003?.....

Love to here Danny Cannon's recollections on the movie, on a DVD audio commentary. By all accounts the film had a very troubled shoot! The scene with Fergie's Death was definatly shot, as it appeared in an old Megazine issue, after the films release, as did several other stills from scenes not in the finished movie. Whether they were from cut footage, or just on-set stills i'm not sure.

dunno what the fuss is all about. Taken on it's own merits SNOW/TIGER has aninteresting premise, great art and rattles along at a break-neck speed.Which IMHO, makes it a winner. As mentioned before, it's not the first time that 2000ad has featured a contentious storyline, e.g. BIG DAVE, BLAIR1; and anyway, isn't it 2000ad's remit, to challenge as much as it is to entertain?

An animated Dredd could really kick some. I hear that they're actually taking that route, with a proposed Snake Plissken, manga style, anime-even Kurts doing the voice!

The Crow is, without exception the greatest comic book movie of all time.An almost flawless fusion of atmosphere, hard boiled dialogue, characters and music. IMHO it is the benchmark that other comicbook based movies must aspire to.

Was that for real! Who the hell voted for him, in that category! Having said that, Oasis frequently appear in the upper half of the greatest albums ever poles, in Q magazine(guffaw, guffaw).Maybe it's the same people.

Should'nt that read, "Johnny Moronic"?
Saw The Rollins Band, at reading, in 94-He's one hell of a front-man, and insults an audience like no-one on earth-except for maybe Mike Patton!

Love to see Bolland tackle a multi-part Dredd tale, but he is notoriously meticulous in his artwork-which normally equates to missed deadlines.Still, we can live in hope.Perhaps 2000ad readers could all have a whipround, help Rebellion cough up the neccesary creds.Anyone care to put a figure on Bolland's going rate? Still, if this does represent a gradual return of Bolland to 2000ad's hallowed pages, I, for one, will be a happy Drokker

I'd certainly claim that 2oooad( and large doses of Bill Hicks) has reinforced my sense of healthy cynicism, and mistrust in corporate entities-which i hope it will long continue to do.

While we're on the subject; the region1 special edition of Ridley Scott's Legend kicks serious arse-both europian cut(with superior Jerry Goldsmith score+restored scenes)and US cut. 2 discs of vintage movie heaven!

apparently Blade Runner is due a 3 disc special edition sometime this year. rumour has it, it contains the original cut, un-director sanctioned cut, and newly director authorized cut. Scott's done a commentary, and the ch4 doc's a dead cert.Copyright considerations are the only thing delaying its release-apparently
