Classifieds / Prints available
09 March, 2011, 11:54:19 AM
By popular demand (ok, one or two people asked me about it), I've decided to relent and sell prints of my stuff.  I haven't actually sorted out a price yet as I'm really looking to see if there's enough interest before I spend valuable minutes getting quotes and the like- but I'm looking to take some to Bristol with me this year, if anyone's interested.

Off Topic / WHERE IS THE LAUGHING SMILEY?

Seriously- where is it?  We used to have one and now it's gone.

THIS IS SERIOUS INTERNET BUSINESS.

Could we have it back, please?  And if not, why not?

Help! / Twitter irritation
08 April, 2009, 11:34:45 AM
I've been getting a really irritating pop-up at random times for the last couple of days:

Can anybody shed any light on it and, more importantly, how I can get rid of it, please?  I'm running a G5 Mac with OS X (10.4.11) and Safari version 4 Beta.  I'm almost on the verge of going out and killing women.

I fully admit to my being a bit of a numpty in this area and accept that some amount of pointing and laughing is inevitable.

Off Topic / UK Banks bailout
19 January, 2009, 10:55:16 PM
UK taxpayers to shell out another £50 Billion to bail out the banks.  That's on top of the £37 Billion we've already given them.  That's £87 BILLION.

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/4/20090119/tuk ... a1618.html

Unless my maths are wonky (and they might be), for a mere £60 Billion, the government could've chosen to make every man, woman and child in the UK a millionaire instead.

Just sayin'...

Books & Comics / Pimping Impaler # 1

In an ideal world, I'd have my own Street Team pimping this for me, but I haven't- so here's a preview:

It's out on the 17th of December from all good comic shops.  And crap ones too, I suppose.

Dredd- Best I've read in ages- Al is a brilliant writer.  More Dredds for Ewing, please.

FS- Saw the ending coming a mile off, but still a good tale- particularly liked the artwork.  Are the days of inkers numbered?

Stalag 666- Surprise twist- called it weeks ago.  Hooray for me!

Lob- Excellent.  Not the ending I was expecting- in a good way.  Well done that boy.

All round great prog for me.  I get mine early every Saturday- it's not very often I feel moved to start the review thread though.

Help! / Skype/Little Snitch help required
26 September, 2008, 10:29:36 AM
Having previously admitted to being a bit of a luddite, I must now embarrass myself further by asking for more help.

Long story short- I've downloaded Skype, but as soon as I connect to it, Little Snitch tells me that I am trying to connect to something.  Assuming that this is integral to the connection process, I hit 'allow until quit'.  Then I get another.  And another.  And another.  This goes on for a not inconsiderable amount of time, until I eventually give up and turn it off.

Somebody help an old geezer out, please?

Just pimping the cover to the first issue.  I'm probably posting in the wrong place- but I don't really understand this board anymore!

Spend a minute of your life watching this and then vote, if you feel so inclined.

He's a nice lad and he's done really well without any vote rigging so far.

Cheers-

Matt

Client's request for character design:  "Think: the girl who liked Seth in "Superbad" as someone to channel"

Somebody throw me a bone- I don't feel like coming across as an out of touch old fogey to my client today.

:)

Cheers.

New Knight Rider TV film coming out- with the son of Michael Knight.  I don't get it- why not just reboot?

Image have a new 420 page anthology out that has a whopping 8, yes, 8 whole pages of my own work in it.  I think you should all go and buy it immediately.

That is all.

I try to tolerate other people's religious leanings as much as possible- but this is just stupid.  What a waste.

Is it any good?  I've been thinking about offloading a bunch of my scribblings on things like T-shirts and hats- stuff like that.  Is it worth the bother?  Is anyone else doing it?  Anyone made any money at it (or anything similar)?

Cheers-

Film & TV / Crap TV show help
08 September, 2007, 12:18:01 PM
Does anybody remember some '80s show that had Bonnie Tyler's 'Holding Out For A Hero' as it's title track?  The main bloke in it it was some kind of MacGuyver type- who might also have been an Aussie.

What the fuck was it?!?
