Title: Beat Girl Comics Attic up and running again...
Post by: Al_Ewing on 27 February, 2006, 06:31:04 PM
Apologies to anyone who cared even slightly - The Image Hosting has been kicked to the curb like a beeeeyotch and now Photobucket are hosting my stuff in their place.

All of Beatniks-A-Go-Go is now up, with some extra online content and also the same parade of ancient small-press work from the nineties.

Dig the square who's not hip to the beat, daddy-o!

Of course nothing, bar nothing, not even nothing will ever beat 'Shall I use my evil for good or evil?'

I quoted that to a colleague just this afternoon. The fact that she didn't find it funny marked her fate when the revolution comes.

Oddly enough, the only review of Beatniks online describes it as 'wordy and inconsequential'... charges I admit to readily.

If it's something less wordy and more consequential you're after, I highly recommend Will Eisner's Contract With God trilogy, which is out as a hardback edition. It's one of the finest comics I've ever read.

Later on I had time to read it and laughed my arse off - which made a mess.
