Snapshot

...not the Meg strip, which I've not read (though have had a glance through thanks to fellow Squaxx's copies), but the strange plot device from a couple of years ago (just after Tour Of Duty) that Dredd fought for in the ruins of Mega City 2.

If memory serves me right, this was a kind of nanobot type thingy that took a 'snapshot' of it's subject, then restored that subject to that exact state, even if they got blown to bits or something.

Now, what happened to this thingy? Wouldn't it have made sense to use it before Day Of Chaos, just in case such an event might happen?

Apologies if this has been answered in the Meg, I'm not a Meg reader, just an avid swallower of Progs.

As far as I know it's not been seen since "California Babylon". I can't help but think that it was designed to be brought back again at some point.
