Disaster 1990, for having the balls to run with the protagonist of the crazy Pied Piper of Swan Lake.

Is that the Bill Savage floods one? If so, as a hydrologist I found it utterly risible. Brigand Doom I like for the art, though I can't remember what the story was about.

Last day on this one and I think... its going the way I'd like... but there seems plenty of votes to come so any late votes today could swing this. I'm counting in the morning.

When I did my last big read through I remember thinking that Disaster 1990 was the worst story to have ever seen print in 2000ad. Not least because it pre-dates Invasion but the flooding of all London is never mentioned in the later (earlier) story. That said it is more memorable that Doom which I can barely recall so it's Disaster 1990 for me.

If I'd known it was harmless I would have killed it myself.

Clear cut - for me Brigand Doom was one of the medicore (well after the first story that was great) thrills that kept the Prog afloat when much stuff was below that. I think it better times it would be less fonsly remembered, but is decent. Disaster 1990 on the other hand was an example of the dangers of romantising the early days of the Prog was there was a lot of rubbish, of the level that elevates views of Brigand Doom, D90 symbolises for me. Its out of its depth in the Prog and Doom isn't. So I'm pleased that
