1) Just the Dredd stories. The Anderson stories are being collected in the Psi-Files.

2) Vol 1-11 are all b&w, from that point on they switch to original format.

3) Vol 1-10 cycle through different colours for the spine. From Vol 11 they go back to the beginning of the colour cycle, with 'Judge Dredd' in a different font. Who knows what will happen with Vol 21? There are US editions of the first 4 or 5 volumes. I would guess they have different spins, but I can't confirm this.

4) Restricted Files contain the Dredd strips from the Sci-Fi Specials, Annuals etc.

5) I think it's just new stuff, but can't remember where I read that!

Is volume 3, the Courtship of Jena Makarov, still out of print?

Yes. I was very lucky when I bought my copy. Amazon marketplace had a few copies going for silly money. 2000ad online were still selling it for the cover price.

The Dante and Hewligan's Haircut books have exactly the same contents as their respective UK counterparts though.

Dante has been 're-mastered'. It's also on the glossy paper of the later releases, rather than the matt of the DC/Rebellion releases.

Horned God is a hardcover.

The B format is a pain. Text is so small it is hard to read. Shame really, as I don't think any o fthese have appeared in either of the other two collections.

General / A couple of Dredd questions
09 November, 2011, 09:11:36 PM
I've been re-reading a lot of older JD stories, and there are a couple of pieces of 'foreshadowing' in the stories and I'm not sure where their pay offs are.

Firstly - when Anderson has the vision of the bat, eagle and vulture that brings her back to Mega-City One afte the Postcards... series - is this a premonition of Die Laughing? I haven't noticed it mentioned anywhere else. I believe there was a delay with the artwork for Die Laughing - presumably this didn't help strengthen the ties. Was there ever a point where we saw Anderson go 'Oh yes, that's what the vision was all about!'?

Secondly - Judge Dredd: War Games in Prog 854. What's this warning us about. AT first I thought it was Inferno, but we don't see any Judges with the yellow edging on their helmets in that story?

Thanks for any replies :)

I think that stories in there.

If you buy the two phone books and Vol 5 of the slim reprints, then you'll have the complete Gerry Finley-Day run.

A 3rd phone book could mop up all of the pre-War Machine material. But when was Rogue Trooper ever that tidy?

Tales of Nu Earth 1, Tales of Nu Earth 2, then Re-gene. After that, things get a bit fragmented.
