what does everyone think of the rogue game? it beats the dredd one, its pretty good i think.

I haven't played it yet, my wife bought me a copy when it came out. Unfortunately it was for the PS-2, and I have an X-Box. Tesco refused a refund, and didn't have any copies for the X-Box to swap. Bah!
Just a little rough and tumble, Judge man.

rogue trooper game is good, it beats the dredd game anyway

WoD

The Dredd games was OK in places.  Got fed up woth some of the missions though, especially where you had to escort people (they were dull with amazing abilities to get stuck in doors or up stairs...AI my arse).

Rogue is good though...just wish there was more multi-player action...it's what you need for longevity.

I would have liked some sort of deathmatch game ;)

Bico

Doesn't some new 'killer app' XB360 game use Rogue Trooper as it's template?  coughcoughripsoffcoughcough

Gears of War or something, I think it's called.  That's got to be a good recommendation, surely?  Best form of flattery and all that.

Still playing it meself though it's good in some places.(i love the rifle) yep it needs multi player though
"...my android replica is playing up again,it's no joke when she moans she call's another's name, but that's the spirit of the age..."

Keef Monkey

One of the most enjoyable games I've ever played I reckon, had a great time from start to finish and looking forward to playing it through again at some point.

i think ROGUE was/is excellent.

a good stroy arc thanks to Mr Rennie helped a lot, but the whole set up, decent graphics, difficultly levels and decent changes in missions whilst remaining a decent shoot em up was a great balance.

worth every penny i paid for it.
I EVEN BOUGHT AN ORIGINAL COPY. i really thought it was that good.

ok a death match may have been a nice add on, but i dont play LIVE anyway. so i am happy as it is.
I AM VERY BUSY!
PJ Maybe and I use the same dictionary, live with it.

NO 2000ad no life!

Finally got around to getting this (it wasn't in the shops here when it first came out) from the bargain bin for under a fiver.

Pretty cool game - a little bit slow on my PC, but playable.  Also, a little bit linear - unlike the freedom of Halo.  I particularly hated the train and hopper levels, because they don't suit my "hide behind some rocks for a while till I figure out what to do" style of gameplay.

Quite cool array of weapons - although I didn't need to use a lot of them.  (The shotgun, the electro-thingamy and the mortar went almost unused, and could have remained completely unused for the entire game.)  Also didn't use the holo-projector (except when told to, once) and had no idea what the "attract" thing was for so didn't use that either.

Quite a tricky last level got me killed a few times - those bastard decapitators!

Anyway, I came away from it, having recently played Starcraft again, thinking that Rogue Trooper is ripe to be an RTS, or even a turn-based strategy game in the mould of Panzer General / Advance Wars.

There are so many unit-types to play with:

- Blackmare tanks.
- Pill-boxes.
- Pill-box dropping hoppas.
- Decapitator dropping hoppas.
- Troop hoppas.
- Gunship hoppas.
- Sun legion kite troops.
- Scum sea troops (in their underwater bubble-landers).
- Fast attack boats.
- Nort subs.
- GI drop-pods.
- Lazooka troops.
- Dreamweavers.
- Bio-wire.
- Hell-guns (or whatever they're called - from the opening episode of RT in the comic.)
- Stamel riders.
- Snipers.
- Those trains.
- Bubble-buildings.
- Robo-messengers from Fort Neuro.
- Rennie's exo-skeleton giant bot things.
- The giant bots from Fort Neuro.
- Charybdis.
- Filth columnists.
