Can we just ditch the partial nudity?  It's bloody boring for everyone but the artist.

If I have to see another tastefully placed shadow, or sillhouetted nipple I may just fall asleep.

Sexy does not automatically relate to nude, there are a lot of unsexy nudes in 2000AD of late and I really can't see the point apart from the assumption that a bit of 'tit' sells.  

Wouldn't it be better if some of these characters had a bit of fecking personality for a start, then I might actually want to see them get their kit off.

Anyway, apologies for the rather limp outrage, but there you go.

though i havent noticed overly the amount of it in the megazine or tooth itself,
but really it may just sell a few more progs, hentai they call it out here in asia and its very big and there are large comic shops stuffed with the stuff, so if it works and gets more readers then i guess its ok.

perhaps if gibson was drawing it may be a little more excaptable, but in the main, its not hurting anyone,

I for one could have done without seeing Bison's arse in this week's prog.  I'm with PVS here.  Not even Gibson should really be allowed to get away with it (Return of the Taxidermist would have been just as good/if not better for losing the porn).
It certainly should be kept off the cover - I still feel the embarrassment when one of my mom's friends commented on the cover of Meg 1.16 let alone the embarrassment of buying it from (in many places) the 'top shelf'.  Thank goodness I don't live with my mom anymore & I've got a subscription! although sometimes I think they should be delivered in brown envelopes rather than white.http://www.2000adonline.com/covers/megazine/mediumres/1.16.jpg">

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels embarressed buying AD and the Meg occasionally.  It's bad enough being seen to read comics, never mind dodgy comics.   Instead of just being seen as a half-wit, I'm seen as a perverted half-wit :)

ID have to agree here.  As a parent who lets his Kids look at his comics, id reather do without it.  Lets be honest a cop story doesnt need nudity in it.

Before someone cals me a prude, Id rather sit down with my kids and discuss nudity and sexuality on my own terms, rather than some artist writer on a cheap thrill.  Not that I have to justify myself.....

Well, trust me, we havn't quite got to Hentai levels just yet, but we are dangerously close to passing channel 5 levels, but have avoided the 'pneumatic titties in spandex' event horizon of Marvel and DC.

It's worse than tasteless, it's just started to look tacky, cheap and nasty. The Biz could get away with it, as did any Slaine story, but 13 was just gratuitous and as far from erotic or titilating as you can get. Nudity is a valid element in art, but that's all it is, a device, a means to an end, not the end itself (unless you're Larry Flint). Artists and writers need to weigh up their use of nudity in the same way as they'd look at how to use explicit violence. And to be honest, 2K handles gore in a far more mature way than it handles nudity.

The SinDex cover works because it's supposed to be tacky, not erotic, and Halo Jones was damn sexy because she didn't loose all her clothes. Inteligent minds demand inteligent sex, and intelligent handling of issues that are still taboo, let's not pander to the tabloid generation, people.

Agree with most of what has been said especially Jacob Turner's comment on the weighing up of the use of nudity. But the tit count in 2000 continues to grow. Are we seeing editorial policy here ?

The very infrequent use of nudity or the use of suggestion were and are still far more effective.
