AKA SHAKY WEBCAM GANGSTERS

the Violence was great, but the 3 hours of crap around it did not make a good film.

Games / Left 4 Dead Most fun team FPS ever + Zombies
28 November, 2008, 10:59:47 AM
Left 4 Dead

ITS soooooo much fun, there is a lacking on storyline but for pure gameplay/fun you cant beat this, ITs like 28 days later with guns and 1000 x the number of zombies/infected/RAVVIES, the mutated ones are also very well done the tank, boomer, smoker and the Witch (dont shine a light on her)

It has many various maps, the story and point is to just survive.
IT is lacking in weapons with the choice of Pistol, Auto weapon or shotguns( various types of each), molotovs and pipe bombs ( which attract zombies and blow surrounded by the undead) but this does not hamper the game.

The AI is great every enemy's spawn almost at different points each time you play its near impossibly to tell when you are about to be rushed by 40 full speed zombies ( i'd advise shotguns and elbows here, and crouching so your friends can shoot over your head) the rate and sheer numbers of the enemy make this so fun, its a constant battle arcade style, but team tactics are important

The Multiplayer is the strength of this, its played in 4 man teams and interaction is nessasery to complete the levels( even if you just sacrifice the others and lock yourself in a panic room )
One of the great things are the special enemies, if grabbed or caught you can only be saved by another player.
If you health is reduced to zero you are grounded and reduced to usin your pistol you can only be saved by a team mate who you need to protect as they partially revive you and heal you,

Events / London Fetish Weekend the XPO
06 October, 2008, 09:23:19 AM
So nothing to do on saturday, saw this and thought it might be fun to pop along to

THE XPO

God i wish i hadnt, it was like a flea market for strap ons, boots and fairy wings. It was small cheap and nasty.

There were all these gary glitter lookalikes, old dudes in leather jackets leering at some rather large girls in basques, who to be fair were Rather Tasty, but the pedo vibe was rather high, not even the assless chap's cowboy could rectify the the glitter influence.

I thought the point of a transvestite was to look like a woman/man well the dude i ran into had a full beard to go with his blonde wig and high heels.

They had an escapologist guy thought he was darren brown, he was just shit, he even apologised for not using larger locks because "HE HAD LOST THE KEYS".

I was propositioned by a rather hot looking young women in a basque and high heels but her giant strap on was a turn off.

08 September, 2008, 09:23:34 AM
So whats the bets the world doesnt end this week. :D

Large Hadron Collider gets used on wednesday, nay sayers are talking about this being the end of the world.
I dont think it will, i think its a case of fear of the unknown, but what do you guys think.

So Should the Scientists turn it on ???????????
Is it irresponsible of the scientists if they believe there is a minute chance of the unkown causing catastrophe?

Games / rebellion Games

For such a large and impressive Game developer, with some awsome characters ( 2000AD + Abbaddon) why dont they make GREAT games, their recent fare Rogue Trooper was good but not GREAT  Dredd vs Death ok but not GREAT.

I think they have amazing potential so why such sucky games what about an attempt at an MMO with suck rich 2000ad universes.

15 August, 2008, 11:06:17 AM
I've been reading 2000AD/Megazine/classic/extreme and now for years but stopped for a few because it was getting stale. (i'm glad its gotten so much better)

What happened to the big hooo haaa about 2000AD being in colour only/All Colour???????????????????????????
I like dafoe or the occasional B&W future shock but i cant get my head around the artwork black/white in stickleback or the awfull insect thing in bobs twisted tales recently.

Was there an announcment i missed renouncing the all colour 2000AD or did old thargy baby just do what he likes as usual.

Books & Comics / Vampire Earth Series EE Knight
14 August, 2008, 04:26:29 PM
I loved this book! There is something in it to appeal to every reader. A little horror, a little SF, a little mysticism, even a touch of romance.
The main character, David Valentine, is an elite soldier on a near future earth that has been turned on its ear. Man is no longer at the top of the food chain--he has become prey to turncoat humans, genetically created monsters called grogs, the menacing, vampiric Reapers and the alien Kurian masters. He is of the first generation never to have known life without the fear of the Reapers.

The book shows his development from childhood, through his training, and into young adulthood. He is chosen by a good Kurian, a Lifeweaver, to become a Wolf, an elite warrior with the finely honed senses and strength of a wolf. His job--to help destroy the minions of the Kurians and protect the safety of the Free Territory.

The post-apocalyptic world and the characters of this book ring true. You see the best and worst of human nature close up. And although the world under the Kurians is a violent and unpredictable place, there are still flashes of happiness and humor and love as humanity survives and adapts to life under the world's new masters. And David is a true hero that anchors this at times grim and violent book with a human heart.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a well-spun, fast-paced adventure tale!
