I've come across these images of Dave Gibbons being photographed in and around King's Reach Tower for pre-launch photos for 'Tornado' - hope they're of interest

Great stuff - thanks for posting. I never read Tornado but wasn't his name Big E, rather than Big Ed? I seem to remember Big Ed being some kid editor character in one of the Buster / Whizzer and Chips type comics.

Yeah, I remember him as Big E too.
If that comic had launched in the 90s I'm sure it would have gained a cult following....

There is actually a copy of this on eBay as we speak (just went to try and snag the Tornado one, having not realised the blog hadnt grabbed it, but no luck!
