Off Topic / Does anyone blog with blogger.com?

i've been wanting to get the tags sorted on my blog for ages now, so that some actual people will actually come across it on a google search and actually look at it instead of it gathering dust in a corner of the web.  but i'm new to all this and have no idea how to do them.  anyone got any clues?

General / Design Flaw...?
« on: 22 May, 2007, 08:56:57 AM »
the cover of this weeks prog has once again prompted me to think that there is a design flaw in dredd's uniform, namely where he keeps his gun holstered.  it's on his boot.  surely the cover illustrates what a flaw it is as he has to bend over/kneel to get to his gun.  it the time that taked to make a move like that, the gun weilding baddie on the cover could have easily shot him.  shouldn't a more logical place for his gun holster be beside his him or something.

then again, there isn't anything logical about dredds uniform...

Off Topic / An Ebay Question
« on: 13 May, 2007, 12:10:42 PM »
can i ask a wee ebay question.  it's about paypal.  in a nutshell what is it, how does it work and what do you have to do to use it?  i read all the online info and i'm not any wiser.  i've just recently discovered that ebay is a wonderful place for old comics if you shop carefully (and avoid american ebayers :)).  but it's been anoying me that some sellers will only use paypal and it is confusing me to no end.

Off Topic / am i an idiot?

treated myself to a new printer, but the damned thing wont print.  it's a laser printer and i've never had one before so i don't really understand the mechanics of it.  it goes through all the motions but the pages remain blank.  i've done everything the manual told me to do, but still with the blank pages.  is there something you're suppose to do to make it all come together.  i don't think its a software problem, everything seems to be fine on that end.  i think it's a physical problem.  is there something i should do with the drum/toner/whatever that i haven't?

Please help......

Games / Dragon Quest
« on: 17 April, 2006, 03:01:37 AM »
looks like the new tomb raider is already yesterdays news.  the new game blowing every one away is the new dragon quest game.  been playing it for a day and am officially obsessed with it.  it's got character designs by the guy who did dragon ball z, a character who's kind of like a really camp yoda, a bad guy with the best name ever (Dhoulmagus)and a lot of rock solid RPGing.  it's a joy to play.  check it out

Books & Comics / ?682.23
« on: 17 August, 2005, 04:26:05 AM »
i shit you not.

?682.23 for Alan Moore's From Hell on amazon.  that can't be right.  it doesn't say if there's anything of value in it (eg signature), but isn't that just a wee bit steep?

thanks, but i think i'll look elsewhere.
