Up this morning for my Coffee. Wifey says "Go have your cerial the kids can have toast".
"No Marge" >:( (but I left it at that).

Installed a customer with TV Phone and Broadband. Two hours later I get a call from Customer Services saying said customer had no dial tone (I always ring test before I leave properties).
Arrives at customers house to find that he unplugged his power unit from the wall and forgot to put it back in.
Waste my time fucking prick. Who say's the customer is always right. Wankers.

Peace is a lie, there's only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.

Binmen came early. Blur of course flew into my head even though it was Friday.

Neighbour comes home, somehow miraculously manages to put his bin away and leaves stuff that was too late to be picked up sitting on the fucking pavement, bin bags and poisonous nutty cornflakes and shit. (not literally shit, been watching a lot of The Wire yo). What, you going to leave it there for 2 fucking weeks? Grud on a greenie!

Local Magpies (bless 'em) start picking at bins and start spreading shit everywhere.

Muggins here grabs wheelie bin and deals with neighbours' shit.

Complain you say? I don't even want to converse with that kind of mink. That's ned, or chav, depending how souther you are.

Fuckers could do with some weedkiller too.

My thanks for this therapeutic thread. No disrespect intended towards binmen at all. Or Magpies.
NEGOTIATION'S OVER!

Damn. I just wrote "pretty thing" when I meant " pretty lass". And i can't find edit on this phone.
Be excellent to each other. And party on!

I can relate to that after being in the IT team of a social housing trust for many years.  You get both.

I bought a very nearly new Specialised Rockhopper and there is a problem with the back wheel as the spokes on the wheel keep snapping and now the wheel is out of true.I do not know why this is happening as i have never had this problem with any bike i have had in the past so i am at a loss to explain it other than to say the spokes on the wheel are cheap crap or its my weight on the bike that is stressing the wheel as i weigh in at about 17 stone.

It looks like the back wheel is going to have to be replaced. Its like whenever i get a flat tyre its always the back wheel that gets a puncture and never the front.

That's hardly excessive for someone your height, and therefore frame-size - should be the lower end of design limits.

Going to have another look on passing from work tomorrow if i still have no luck then thats what i'll do the upside to this is that, either throught stupidity or pure ignorance i had neglected the back issue section.

Which brings me to the question im after the brit cit babes GN that comes free with 299 megazine.

Would this be included with the megazine if i buy it from the back issues section?

In this case it's probably more to do with simple physics. Friction, wear and unevenly distributed strain across the load-bearing structure.

Mr Wolf, I sympathise with your predicament but there might be a couple of clues in your original post. How "nearly" new is the bicycle in question? How many times have you had to replace spokes and true the wheel since you got it? Spokes do break from time to time but if you don't get the wheel sorted as soon as possible (and sometimes even when you do) the remaining spokes are damaged by compensating for the missing ones and then some break shortly after you get the first ones replaced. The cycle then repeats so sometimes you need to either get the wheel completely rebuilt (probably not economical given that I assume these aren't top end wheels) or buy a new one.

If you are getting a lot of punctures in the same wheel, check the inner surface of the rim (as well as the inside of the tyre, obviously) for remaning sharp bits, make sure the rim tape is properly covering all the spoke ends and invest in a proper pump so you know you're inflating it to the right pressure. That alone will save you from about 75% of punctures.

Thanks for the reply.

First of all 2 spokes went on the wheel so i took the wheel to a repair shop who replaced them and straightened the wheel so i thought that would be the end of it but from what i recall a short while later the same thing happened except that 6 - 8 spokes just seemed to snap all at once.I havent been doing anything excessive with it and the tyres were inflated hard. Some spokes snapped next to the wheel rim and others snapped next to the chainset.A total of 10 spokes have snapped now.

The bikes is approx 1 yr old that had hardly been ridden when i bought it but i dont have any paperwork. The wheels are what came with the bike originally and are not top end and not worth rebuilding which is a shame as it creates waste.I will have to replace with something that is better quality and not flimsy crap.
