Alright you cynical sods,

I know the reaction to any creative suggestions on the board often result in a swift drubbing about the face and neck -

Yet are we not readers of 2000ad?! Are we not dragged together with the love for a comic?! To put it melodramatically, have not we all dreamed at one stage or other that we ourselves could eventually grace the pages of this mighty magazine - ?!

I know some of you are artists, either successful published wonderfolk or aspiring moon-eyed scribblers, yet all are united with the same thundering passion to DRAW!

We are the people who covered their schoolbooks with mad intricate ideas, who squeezed the tips of our fingers into bizarre relief-biro patterns with hours of  insane art - !

My fellow pencil monkeys and pen gorillas I have one simple question that I put to you with a sweeping confidence...


yeah, like - is there some kinda group/messageboard for UK artists to swap ideas or sumfink cos like, yeh dat would be wikkid

I will have to be more sober to give an appropriate answer -

ladies and gentlemen - favorite stories, artists - best returns, greatest covers - returning heroes - best moments, worst bastards etc etc

1: For those with the Iron Maiden- Early Days DVD, whatever happenend to that guy who made Cardboard guitars and who's name was Rob Loonhouse?

2: I have a theory and the theory that is mine is this-- Men have a broadband connection to bad images, if someone says "Think of such and such a perverted thing" men just 'CLICK' immediatly have it in their head, which may be a very good weapon of war. Women have a 56k modem connection to such images

3: I have noticed people are annoyed by the early review threads of subscribers and that they're points are not valid by the coming of the next day. So...go to my Yahoo group which is amazing

Well, I was playing a delightful online match of Star Wars: Battlefront the other day when I was RATHER suprised to see several 2000ad references (people's names)
You had the obvious (JOE_DREDD, JOHNNY_ALPHA)
to the entirely surprising GRUD_ON_A_GREENIE!!!!
I was SHAKARA of course..because, well, it's very difficult to be anything else.

Not 2kad but a good one (JABBA_THE_SLUT) heh

so here's the question.
What should I do with my life? I'm nearly finished as a student and I want to do something creative, like write or design or draw...
How do I get started doing any of these things?!!?
I know the obvious is to get a full-time job and do them in my spare time, but...AGH! It's all so frustrating and crazy.

Well I just tried reviewing the latest prog on my group (I'm not going to link to it I've done it enough) and then I closed the window before I posted and now I'm really annoyed because I can't get it back. ANYWAY, the now-dead post did throw up an intersting question in my mind, what the hell does everyone think of A.H.A.B.?!
Because 2000adreview.co.uk like it, and I really can't see it being that good

Number one: My review group, for those who can't be bothered to slag off people in this wide, wide thing where any artist (and possible future friend) could be lurking to go "HEY! I THOUGHT I ROCKED!" and then...yeah. I don't know.

I'd submit it here but all the stuff in the gallery is so shiny and colourful and better than what I can do (I'm genuienly not fishing for compliments here) and I ain't a submission guy, either!

And I was surfin across some sites and they're churning out Marvel statues all the time, endless Spider-Men and Captain America, and all in dioramas from 'famous covers' or just in poses...
Now make some classic 2000ad ones, like, amazing ones...or something...

I have badges. I'm not sure what period of 2000ad history they're from, as I was given them by someone who knew me to be a fan.
They're both of Dredd's head, and they're metal and really heavy. One appears to be alike to Cliff Robinson's art, and the other...Bolland...
