Alien pisser

Finally finished watching all the extras on the Alien bonus disc today - clocking in at 4 hours i've been watching them bit by bit over the last couple of weeks, taking the disc in and out of the player.
Anyway, took the disc out this afternoon and put it away.
Tonight i wanted to show my wife something on it so put it in the player - and it spat it out, saying it was the wrong region.
Tried the other disc and that plays fine.
Tried changing to region 1 (even though its region 2). It didn't spit it out but just stopped.

Any idea whats going on?
Can't figure out how i can view it bit by bit for weeks, always taking it out and putting it in, and now the player doesn't recognise the region.

sometimes the remote control has hidden extras as well. something like the dual dialouge feature. this has interfered on occasoin with varoius movies i have treid to play.
its not easy to do. but you may have to get the wife to read the instruction manual.
