Film & TV / Re: Dexter - Worth a punt?

didn't you think s05ep01 was a bit dull? I mean it probably had to be given what they had to deal with after s04 but it was much the most meh dexter season opener. I mean Debs wasn't even in hotpants working vice.

It is the best thing on Telly tho.

why people get all worked up online, have a rant at a poster and then block them when they are done. Its most odd.

General / Re: Subscriber exclusive T-shirts.

Sorta always annoys me that subscribers get access to this stuff - I've always a firm policy that a prog thru the shops keeps the prog IN the shops. It may be slightly more profitable for Rebellion to take your money direct but is it worth the loss of orders on the shelves that persuades the shopkeeper to buy one or two more extra?

Missing the Droid life poster was a real gut-wrencher and that t-shirt is even MOAR lovely.

Me'thinks Staz should have a Rogue figure and first dibs on the new GFD Rogue strip as his B&W Rogues were lovely and suitably evocative of the Rogue that was so popular.

He really is astoundingly good, as good as anyone drawing today. Does Dante have foreign language editions? The Europeans* would praise him to the hilt.

Books & Comics / Re: The Comics = Nerd Factor

i can sorta understand a high-brow book reader sneering (although they tend not to aside from preening media ones) but considering the average person 'mocking' reading a comic book normally can only manage to read the TV guide then its more about them than you.

Prog / Re: Are you as excited as me???

okay I gotta say I dont have the mad-love for kingdom. Bk 1 worked as a 1 off, bk 2 was the best in terms of art (astounding) and story (gotta love hicksville characters) but Bk 3's cast of other dogs and silly names really really didn't do it for me. It stopped being weird sci-fi and started becoming warrior canine soap. Although VERY VERY beautifully drawn and well plotted canine soap whose ending was a nice kicker.

Sadly given how lush his thor looks I guess we'll not have much more of the Elson to enjoy so its to be relished on those grounds.

Avatar IV anyone?

Prog / Re: Prog 1703 Cry Wolf!

"as weightless as an arrow"

Eh?

And that bolt-01's panel - whats going on there then? Theres like half a small brown wolf and a big gray hulk wolf in green strides? Am confust. And when her bike goes infront of the london bus there is a van heading straight FOR hulk-wolf but he hits it side on? Eh?

Mind you thats more than a mere trickle of blood over the last few panels so maybe she'll be dead soon. Yeah! If that ear-ring activates mystical hidden powers I'm oot.

The Rest - SOLID STEEL. Gotta say I am sorta 'phowar' at that final dante panel. So much talent. Sick making.

what happened the guy who was going to tear up his progs and paste them himself into books? Was that here or on the review site? That was grade a bonkers. I vaguely recall Alan Grant saying he had his progs bound so find out where and get them from the same place for extra kudos.

blowing Chopper out of the water from a juve's perspective was a genius move. Grade A thinking about life in the Meg right there.
