Watched Aladdin but I must say I preferred the animation one

I was the same with The Lion King.

I'd rather have nothing. Red Dwarf was of it's time and was perfectly realised without the added series or anything new.

I still cringe at the AA adverts (although I'm assuming that the new series will be better written).

It's something I enjoyed immensely during it's original run but it's had it's day and then some.

Leave it be.

Mine have been arriving like clockwork for over 6 months now on Saturday.

Not for me too. Special HB signed by Mills and I'm probably onboard but considering I have at least four versions of this, one in HB, then count me out too.

The Strontium Dog early volume is lush though.

All 4k UHD discs are region free.

And we always get a blu ray with them in the UK because of the extras won't fit on the 4k disc.
It is annoying that other countries don't follow our lead in this regard.

.... or knows where I could get one, please let me know.
Thank you.

Have you thought of subscribing?   ::)
Unfortunately when subscribing in the past, 90% of my Progs and Megs arrived totally mangled in the post and I am loath to be at the mercy of the postman again.

You should complain to your post office then. None of mine in the past 14 years of subscribing have arrived in anything less than perfect condition.

The only way they will learn is if you complain.

These are going to have to go the way of eBay unless anyone wants them or wants to make me a decent offer.
Sorry folks. I need them gone sadly.

Prince of darkness by John Carpenter. Weird mix between scares and cheesy fun. Has a very intersting premise of the god in the bible perhaps not being the good god people are hoping for, but rather an anti god who grows stronger the more people pray to it.

Doesn't look like it had a very high budget, but Carpenter made impressive work with what he had. Some really amazing visuals. Has a dream like quality to it which reminds me a bit of Twin Peaks. Wouldn't surprise me if Lynch and Frost picked up a thing or two from it.

Not my favorite by Carpenter, but easy to recommend. Too interesting to pass up.

Watched this in 4k UHD format just over a month ago.
I remember not liking this at all when I originally saw it in the cinema during it's original run but liked it a lot more this time round.

As you say, some cheesy fun.

Eaglemoss do the same. I had 2 issues of my Star Trek Graphic Novel collection go missing from the newsagents. Bought them online instead. And then 10 weeks later they arrive at the newsagents. Thankfully just another 20, at 1 a week, to go for that collection. Should be done by February.
Hate to break it to you, but there's well over a year left to go on that. It's been extended to 145 issues.

Ah man!

Are Hachette braindead?

I got a reply about my missing Slaine.  They say they don't supply local newsagents, but they supply distributors which supply newsagents, so in effect, they do.

What the hell are these muppets up to.

Horror Express is a classic.

Saw it first on BBC 2 in the late 70's.

Rambo: Last Blood

You could write the plot on the back of a postage stamp and at times it feels like a straight to video Steven Segal film or something.
An hour and a half flew by though, and if all you're after is to see Rambo fucking up some baddies it's good fun.
Not as good as the last Rambo but better than III and probably better than II.

Vile film. All Mexicans are rapists, traffickers and generally nasty people.

Build the wall!

Horrible film and a stain on the name of 'First Blood' which was the exact opposite.

I don't want to get into an argument about the moral standing of a Rambo film but I think this is a bit unfair. The aunt, daughter and journalist are all major characters and aren't depicted as nasty people. Other than that, it's pretty explicit that we're dealing with a gang of criminals rather than average Mexicans going about their business. It's like saying John Wick makes all Russians look like killers.

Thinking about it some more, I've changed my mind.

Not something you hear very often and I applaud you for it.

I've realised there's not actually any reason for the baddies to be Mexican at all. All the bits where they go over the boarder, they could have just been going to the nearest city. The gang members could have been anybody.

For me at least it seemed the filmmakers were going out of their way to portray the Mexicans as nasty, vile people.
