I think we need some new blood Monarch.

Is there anybody out there who would like to give it a go?

Very good Monarch. I was thinking of a Grover/Watson team - up myself.

Do we have any takers on today's entry?

Its on there. Hope I haven't messed with what you had planned Monarch.

After I had written the last entry in my journal, I went back through it and found that there wasn't an entry for the day before. I tried to remember what I'd done that day but all I have was a few dim memories. The only concrete recollection I have is of returning from the mutie camp. I spoke to Watson and discovered that he too is having problems remembering Thursday. We spoke to Yeowell but he just sent us on to our next class - block war tactics.

During the class, Yeowell came in accompanied by two Psi - Judges. He ordered Watson and me to stand. He commended us for realising that something was wrong with Thursday. Yeowell explained that everyone in the class had been scanned by a Psi Judge to discover who had tampered with Fabry's Lawmaster. Rookie Psi - Judge Mighten is still learning to control his abilities and a side - effect of the scanning was a temporary amnesia in the subject.

Yeowell capitalised on the situation, using it as an example to us on how susceptable a Judge can be to psychic attack. It gives me the creeps that a stranger can prise open your mind and decipher your thoughts and secrets you've hidden for years.

The scan results came back as inconclusive. Yeowell said that the investigation is on - going and that we should expect interrogation at any time.

Very good Alski. I like the way you introduced the other cadets.

We got one problem people - there was no entry for thursday. Fear not. I've come up with a way to deal with this. Shall I write the entry for tomorrow?

An excellent rendition of one of my favourite characters. I wonder if Mr Grisley Bisley has seen it?

Ok guys its on there now. Sorry if I was a bit late. I had a spot of bother with the old internet connection and had to borrow a dongle (ooo-er) from the lovely Sarah.

Results came in from our first trip out into the Meg. Yeowell told me that if I powered out around corners I could cut three seconds six from my response time. I've got to get back on that Lawmaster as soon as I can.

We ran a street search sim today. Watson snatched the scanner from me. He found a whole bunch of illegal items secreted in the perp's gut. I shook the perp down and discovered a cigarette concealed in the purple curls of his hairpiece. I also busted the spugger for whistling in a sound restricted area. Watson's arrest sheet amounted to sixteen years but mine came in at life in an iso-cube.

While we were in class, an SJS judge entered and just stood at the back of the room, glaring at us. What the Grud was she doing?

Watson has become something of a class joke. Someone sprayed his white helmet a flourescent pink in the night. He said he would soon find who had done it but by his detection score he'll probably find the culprit sometime after he's taken The Long Walk. The other rookies think that I did it but it wasn't me. I haven't got the time or the tolerance for jokes, no here, not now.

There's a lecture on mutant issues tomorrow, with a tour of a township later. I've never left the Meg before. What will it be like out there?

I went to see Blade Runner when i was a teenager and I can still remember the feeling  I got just watching the trailer for MM 2. I loved that movie. I think it was Barry Norman said that the costume designer must be a cross between a rag and bone man and something out of 'the 2000AD comic!!!' I can remember that because I taped the show and watched that clip of the compound attack over and over.

Thanks John. Sorry for the delay but I've been between laptops and have forgotten to keep up with my posts. You can look up that reference if you mate but don't go to any trouble. I just wanted to have something i could use in a script I'm working on.

I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year as I suck up the residue from the bottom of Matron's pint pot.
