Ed is dead, baby Ed is...Ed is dead

Over the years I've sold my various Titan collections and the more I see of them the  more I wish I still had them. That said not sure I want to start collecting them, but every time I see them I'm so tempted.

I have the Strontium Dog Titan, Judge Russell kindly got it signed last year by John Wagner as TBG. I was in hog heaven. Z

The old Titan books are lovely and I don't think those collections have ever been bettered in terms of presentation. Just look at the covers!
I think my favourite collections are probably Ro-Buster book 1 and 2 and Robo-Hunter book 1 and 2.

Hawkmumbler

All a bit before my time. I seem to recall seeing some at comventions getting signed and now on but i've never held any in my hands to compare them to the current run of collections (which is a tough act to object to).

Yep, I'm a big fan of the titan books too and definitely agree that they are the best presentations of the earlier stuff.

Not an update as such - but mention of the Titan books got me interested!

I have upgraded the drab beige rug to something a bit more colourful.  I've been advised not to call it a 'Union Jack', otherwise I might upset some in Brit-Cit!  So I'll call it a 'Union Flag' rug...

The rug represents many of my hobbies - 2000AD (obviously), Vintage Action Man, model-making (Airfix, etc.), an obsession with Sherlock Holmes, UK TV/Movies and about 80% of my taste in music.  And my ancestors came from that part of the world as well.

Also, I only recently completed my Titan collection.  This is where they normally reside...

And here they are in all their glory.  I agree with previous posters - you really can't beat the Titans.

Hope you don't mind if I resurrect this thread, Colin?

Took receipt of my framed 'GITFOD' print today.  Framing cost more than the print!  ::)

Now takes pride of place in the cave!

Union Jack is fine. The only one who calls it the Union flag is probably Burdis. And he'll be checking to make sure you have it the right way up...  ;)

Lovely collection of Titans! Been cherry picking select ones myself of late. Like others I regret letting my original collection go, years ago.

Always, always makes me happy to see this thread back ... well except that it reminds me if the leak and need for a new roof that has prevented finishing my love... it make me sad in the heart but the rest of you should wipe out ya goods.

Hawkmumbler

Yup, that's a bloody beautiful illustration to get framed. The essential Dredd panel.

And it grieves me terribly to hear of Colin's leaky roof, hopefully no damage to paper goods within the cave?

Colin YNWA

No its water coming in through the ducts coming down at the lights, Been an ongoing problem we've had patched up a couple of times, but alas that old felt roof she gone again so its going to have to be done properly this time.

Hawkmumbler

Well the packing begins! And though i'm not moving to Guernsey with my family all my stuff must be packed into storage until I find a home to live in (going to look at a few flats soon). So here's all me comics, fiction and non-fiction prose, and DVDs/BDs ready to be packed up.
