and likely no PR in the progs... (given we are so close to Prog 2015 and they have nothing to show yet).

Just out of interest, how have you reached that conclusion?

I'm perfectly happy to be wrong but it's based on the fact that ThreeA have stated that they have nothing to show atm, are waiting on paint samples to continue to refine their designs and Prog 2015 goes on sale in about 5 weeks time.

You got an ace up your sleeve for us Molch-r?

Personally I'd much rather ThreeA took their time with proper full scale integrated promotion at a time other than Xmas (when bairns and family take priority) but I've a feeling they want to keep to their membership promise that there would be '2000AD product' in 2014. Which is fair enough but maybe not the best for a line they have repeated given the impression that it isn't making money for them and whose course has been radically reshaped in light of such.
If I'd known it was harmless I would have killed it myself.

Well, nice to get some {almost} real time frames for these - it's been a long, long wait...!

But if there's a Nemesis in there (I remember that was mentioned a loonnnnng time ago), that'll be worth the wait alone...

And I for one would certainly appreciate a 2014 preorder, given I paid good money for a 3AA membership this year just so I could get these!  But I agree with BPP that the line needs good and sensible marketing and time to allow folks to be aware of it and support it.  None of this 24 hour availability for preorders, that'd be just bonkers (hello foot, meet gun).

Great to hear there's further traction on the toy line, I'm highly anticipating them!  :)

There is a membership fee as well as normally only having 24 hours to try to spend the big bucks to buy one?

I see why it gets so frustrating for you all.

You don't have to be a member to buy their products! I bought the smaller* sized Mongrol and I'm not a member.

I think members get discounts though, so if you plan on  collecting a lot of their products it would probably be worth it. If you're gonna dip in and buy the odd one now and again,  it's probably not worth it.

*It's a big figure by the way. Which just goes to show how large the other one is....

True Mardroid, you don't have to be a member - better make that verrrry clear to anyone who's vacillating about these.

But if you were after some of the variants - well, in the past, you've had to have been a 3AA member to be able to preorder them.  Otherwise waiting till they're released and then paying a highly inflated premium on eBay to pick up one.  So - having a small problem with being a bit of a completist - it made sense for me to buy the membership...  And, of course, there IS a discount for members...

Given there's going to be nine figures in that first wave - and probably one variant of each - it made sense to me!  :|

Membership gives a 15% discount as well as a membership pack (stuffed with exclusives from their other in house brands).

Previous figures came with 'alternative' versions you had to be a member to buy but there is no confirmation whether this will or will not be the case with the 'revamped' line. There are reasons to believe it won't be, largely based on the fact that they have switched from 1/6 figures (30cm height approx) to 1/12 (10-12 cm height) and their 1/12 stuff doesn't tend to come in 'membership exclusive varieties'. Also some of their retail ranges (rather than own-site sale product) has avoided 'membership exclusives' too. However there is no hard and fast rule. I could see there being 'alt. colour Judges' fairly easily. Who knows with 3A!

Thanks for the insight guys.

I won't be buying any of these. Not in to them. I get why people do like them though and they are lovely items.

A mate of mine has quite a collection. Some shop or internet bought and others are kitbashed. He doesn't have many 2000AD ones yet but is interested in this line.

Latest word is Judge Death 'before membership renewals' (ie early-mid Jan). They give the impression it'll need sales for any more to happen. Make of that what you will.

If they want sales, why don't they bring out a Dredd figure already? It's what people want. The unlicensed figure has proved there is a market for Dredd figures.

Did you know Christ was a werewolf?

I don't know - it's bewildering.

OK, robots are their thing, I get that - but I've no idea why they started with Tharg.

Dredd is the IP that sells.
