Not sure I agree with your argument completely here Tarantino - The trouble investors go to?  Putting something in a box isn't that hard surely? :)

E-bay tends to lead to inflated prices - anyone who takes E-bay as a price guide as to how much something is worth is deluding himself - What it really means is that there are two people willing to pay a ridiculous price for something - and one of thems just gone and bought it already!

Me I've got my slightly worn no free gift prog one and it suits me fine  -  I got it for ?15 near ten years ago to the day...

The problem with investors as I see it is that as  soon as they move in, prices soon go above the amount that kids can afford - then the kids arent able to collect, so are less likely to be here 20 years later discussing the intricacies of Rogues 'equipment'.... still only my opinion mind.....

One of the original ideas kicked around was giving the player the choice of Dredd artist - so you could play as a Bolland Dredd, or a McMahon Dredd or an Ezquerra Dredd etc.   Sadly, if the covers anything to go by, we'll have to make do with playing as a Bisley clone Dredd....:(

Anyone else find this section of the article a bit strange - they are discussing the fact that you'll most often have to arrest perps rather than blow them away:  "quite how dishing out such harsh justice will manifest itself is still to be finalised."

This seems a fairly major gameplay element to be missing after two years of development - surely the article's wrong?

I'm with PVs on this one

Investors really are the pits of the comics world, and largely responsible for the overpricing, gimmicks and general low readership  we see in comics today....

I've seen one guy whose e-bay purchasing includes three copies of prog one (including free gift in one instance) in the course of a month - whats going on there?

Based on the 'mega' synopses that were/are on the Shoreline site, and the fact that these films are due out next year........ no.

I find my local council provide a valuable service for such comics.  Every Thursday, they send men round to collect such items and take them away (presumably to to some special local government storage centre  - perhaps hospitals, or orphanages?)..  Just place them in the black bags they provide and leave it outside for them.

Problem solved!

What "final solution" story?

Why has Logan put up a picture of a blank 2000 cover?

Why do my progs between 600 and 689 haave loads of blank pages?

ALPHA LIVES I TELL YOU!

I kind of agree about the chronolgy, but if they stick to the same "seasons of stront in their releases, you can arrange them on the book shelf kind of chronologically...

Slaine is a story that REALLY needs to be reissued in chronological order, including all Belardinellis stuff-  There are vital stories of a certified classic that have not been reprinted here, Titan

Go on, you know Complete Slaine would make sense

Heh - I thought Sin Dex would cause an outcry! :)

Dante is at turns inspired and just as often turgid - the dialogue can be very stiff and unnatural, but as an ongoing story I'd rate it as a high(er?) point of the 90's.  Certainly Dante and Sindex signalled the end of the McKenzie/Millar secret writers club era, so maybe thats why we oldies love it so! And the Battleship Potempkin ending is one of my favourite moments in 2000 - thats what 2000AD 'heroes' are all about

Heh - I hope next month they do the top 5 90's characters - Nickoli(sic) Dante presumably and Sin/Dex  - but who else.....?

Are there 5 top characters from the 90s, let alone a top 5?
