Not massively keen on the mock distress (my tee-shirts get there in the end anyhoo!) but at those prices who can say no. Ordered.

Is this the new shop? If so hope its going ok. Certainly seems like you're pulling in the marketing opportunities!

Good luck with it all.

Oh wow that tee-shirt is lovely. Damnit shame we won't be able to get it over here (well aside from by paying over the top on eBay no doubt). Still if it raises the stakes over there all good.

Its a great book. Well until the last quarter when it all get s a bit "and then they did this strip which no one liked and then they didn this strip which lots of people liked and then they did this strip..."

But until then it really is a wonderful insight into much of the background of 2000ad. As I've been reading over the last however long I've always had it to hand and its surprising how many things it confirms or otherwise about the content of 2000ad and why its the way it is. Brillant and can be picked up on eBay for a reasonable amount with patience.

Read Confederacy of Dunces for the first time which is great and also horribly depressing.

Good grief Roger Godpleton is that you. All this modifying of avatars is making it difficult to spot people. What fun!

Putting two and two together, it's not too much of leap to get from Tour of Duty to The Long Walk...

Now that seems like a strong possibility. The only caution I'd have is that you'd suspect that they'd avoid having Dredd take the long walk only to come back again as that's been done before...

...which in itself leads to interesting possibilities!

I think its already stated on another thread that the mega epic will be a cursed earth tale.

Arh if that's the case maybe Franisco sends Dredd out to support the re-location of the Mutants and see that its done fairly to get him out his hair and to appease him somewhat and there's some shenanigans from there?

Nowt like a bit of wild speculation on a Tuesday morning!

Is there any word on whether the Firestop Full Motion Comics stuff will be ready in time?

The other option I was thinking if the New Chief Judge does repel the Mutie laws they have a heck of a lot of mutants they are going to have to ship out the city and there might be an uprising?

The title that was doing the rounds a bit ago (not sure where this comes from) 'Tour of Duty' doesn't necessary lend itself to either of these ideas mind!?!

Impossible Pictures & Firestep MD Jonathan Drake adds “We are aiming to have something to whet appetites in time for Comic-Con this year. Step one is about selecting properties that can chime with a whole new generation whilst satisfying existing fans.”

Well Comic-Con is a couple of weeks away and all still quiet. Anybody heard any mumbling about whether they will hvae stuff to show. They certainly aren't in the Comic-Con events line-up that I can see?

Help! / Re: Yikes! Virgin Media - broadband and cable
« on: 13 July, 2009, 08:16:00 PM »
Grrr don't start me on that lot. Have just left them after a year or more of shocking service. Problems, poor connection and when I complain they choice out right to ignore my attempts at communication (carefully written to be firm but not abusive however hacked off I was). 4 days trying to get my broadband back after an 'up-grade' that saw no improvement was the end for me.

Now on O2 and have to say they're considerably better AND cheaper (and a Which? best buy for customer service which I've not had to use as the set up etc has been so well done). Magnificent. I have no qualms in saying anybody moving from Virgin (one of Whichs? lost scorers I should note) to o2 should be very happy.

And relax...

Now you see you couldn't wait could you.

You couldn't let my puny little attempts shine, however dimly, in the limelight for more than a few monutes. Oh no you had to go straight ahead and put that MAGNIFICENT effort up. Fantastic job. Its going to be a great contest this month.

I'm off to see if Tesco has a two for one offer on sour grapes...
