In case anyone didn't know, Brendan McCarthy gets control of the frequently-great 'Solo' for Issue 12, which I think may be its last issue.

It's a D.C. comic of about 48 pages where a creator is given free reign for a month to fill it how they please.

Yes, it?s the last issue of SOLO and also Brendan?s first comic work in 15 years ? it should be in shops this week.

He describes the stories as riffing off old DC characters in places with some of it looks very like 'classic 2000AD'. I?ve got some exclusive previews on my McCarthy site here.
