I'm sure this has been done before, but not for a while.

What comics have you recently bought/borrowed/re-read, apart from the Galaxy's Greatest and Megazine?

Just curious about the reading tastes of other 2000AD readers.

Me:

Cage #3
(I'm newly converted to Richard Corben, and I love this. Jose Villarubia's colouring is very nice too. I'm also new to Azzarrello and duly impressed.)

The Filth #1

Fort #1

Fred the Clown #3

Hellblazer: Hard Times (More Azzarrello and Corben goodness)

Should be getting the first 100 Bullets trade paperback soon. Also just re-read From Hell after seeing the film. Looking forward to The League of Extraordinary Gent's 2 in a big way.

who would you recommend as a good online comic shop where i can set up running orders for a wide variety of comics and graphic novels?  i don't get into comic shops themselves to seriously think about reading other comics regularly but i am interested in doing so....

also, anyone know where i can get hold of a copy of LOEG 1 as i have been looking for a copy for a while (online) and i can't seem to find one!!

I've just won From Hell on eBay.  Hasn't arrived yet but I'm looking forward to reading it after the recent discussion on this board.
I liked the film but, while I knew it was based on a comic, I didn't realise it was by Alan Moore until recently.
Better set your phaser to stun.

Cheers sigu,

you have just helped me spend even more of my salary on comics.  i hope my missus doesn't find out :o(

The Amstor Computer

Apart from going nuts waiting for LOEG series 2, I've got a bundle of comics winging their way to me, including:

Fort #1
100% #1
Just A Pilgrim: Garden of Eden #1-4

I'm also on the hunt for issues of Platinum Grit & I've been checking out The Panther. Next on my reading list is some classic Moore - the new Swamp Thing collection and (finally!) a copy of The Killing Joke.

I'd normally be reading more TPBs, but they're bollocking expensive in Oz :-(

Dear SiG,

Fort and Fred The Clown are both very good, Fort is not as good written as some, but the amazing art compensates.

Except these two, and ABC comics, I buy little in addition to 2000AD and the Megazine.

For Corben, I would like to see him draw Dredd.

You know what, Cristophe, Corben on Dredd might be amazing. But there's more chance of him drawing USAgent, which is much the same thing ;-)

PS Banner was good, too.

Tricky one this, cause you ask what I'm buying (about ?150 of different comics a month), and not what am I enjoying.

Looking forward to the development of Filth and Fables, and the new direction of Hellblazer.

Want/need to stop buying Star Wars comics!
Cheers

sigu

Just tell me what you're enjoying then (hopefully at least ?75 a month!)

Ol^ Marbles

"Queen and Country" is pretty good. Oni Press I think. The first 6 or 7 issues are now collected in a TPB.

Smiley

War Stories: Johann's Tiger by Ennis & Weston.

ukdane

I think it's the first 5 that are collected- I'm still waiting to read it, as I am missing issue 2- anyone got it?
Cheers

I'm thinking about no longer buying American Century and Codename:Knockout.
Have you looked at Com.X titles some of them are showing promise.
Cheers
