But some super heroes do age, don't they? Batman and Superman in The Dark Knight Returns aren't "29". I read a rubbish Marvel a little while back where Hulk had taken himself off somewhere to retire. They might not age consistently like Dredd, but age does come into their story arcs...

Interesting that the writers Sim chooses to illustrate how engaging with a character's history can add depth to a continuing narrative are John Wagner and his most able apprentice. The continuity (in both senses of the word) provided by Wagner's constant presence is definitely what makes Dredd so special, but I enjoy the consciousness expanding effects of trying to reconcile the anachronisms in the time lines of Batman and Bond too.

From the sound of that podcast (13m 40s), Douglas Wolk has really been earning his KTT, pimping Dredd to Yank-com's cognoscenti like crazy. Cheers, Art.
