I find I don't have time to read the floppies so only do so if they are from Progs before I started reading or are what I would consider to be great stories. A couple that fall into that category really stand out in your reviews.

To me Downlode Tales are the very definition of essential. The story and art are just superb.  I really like the way what seem to be standalone tales fit into the overall whole. Scrubbers from Prog 1149 being a classic example. Feel I must mention the art by Greg Staples and Chris Weston. I am really getting a new appreciation of both of them and am wishing there had been more stories from them over the years.

On the other side the Planet Death & Angel floppy was essential to me only in that I had never read them before. As for the plotting...hmmmm.... I wonder what the record for the highest number of unlikely occurances and coincidences in a story is?

Nice to have this list, thanks Tombo. Quick questions, does the JD MacMahon collection has some of the cursed earth in it, and does the JD Ian Gibson collection has The Neon Knight in it?

hippynumber1

From memory, the McMahon collection does NOT have Cursed Earth in it. I remember both McMahon and Gibson collections focused on later colour stories but I could be wrong. 'Howler' was definitely included...

Tombo

The Ian Gibson Collection only has three Dredd stories - Lost in Cyberspace (Progs 1268-1270), A Day in the Death of Joe Meg (Prog 1223), and the Marriage Game (Meg 203).  The rest is the remaining Samantha Slade stories (by Gibson and Anthony Williams).

The Mick McMahon Collection has Howler (Megs 2.53-2.65), Hot Pursuit (Meg 2.03), Future Crimes (Prog 2000) and Voices Off (Prog 1308) plus a few covers.

Thank for your quick responses!

No probs.  The box is always close at hand when I'm on my computer.  And by that I mean literally, my elbow rests on it when I'm using the mouse  :P
