Nah, not meaning to knock Coleby, he just really, really wasn't for me at the time, all those layers of corded muscles and right-angled chins (and that was just the women) - it was his Rogue Trooper: Saharan Icebelt War stuff that really soured me, and that wasn't all down to the art I can assure you. 

Now, and for the past decade or so, he's a living god to me. 

I was more trying to make the point that seeing artists develop in public might have been jarring at the time, but the current benefits of bringing all that talent to the comic are huge, and looking back at their development in these collections is fascinating.

Clint took it upon himself to recolour and in some cases rework his art. I don't think this was due to Rebellion, just he wasn't happy with his old work.

I would love to see the Pit all coloured buy one colourist - Peter Doherty would be perfect for that!
