Thought it was a nice touch that Dredd gave DeMarco an important task ahead of Point.

First bloody time in months it hasn't turned up on a Saturday.  Bloody typical.

I remember a fantastic shop upstairs in tinpan alley when fp was in denmark street that had thousands of back issues of british titles mouldering in boxes, unloved and unsellable. Bought an entire run of captain britain there for about a fiver. Long gone i reckon.

I suspect that was LTS.  Amazing place.  Down a piss stinking alley off Denmark Street, into a random doorway and then up a flight of stairs into a single room piled high with dirt cheap back issues of everything imaginable.  You paid the astonishingly surly staff who were stationed sitting in the corner, on the stairs up to the next floor.  They really genuinely don't make them like that anymore.   Loved the place.

Stupid question:

How does 3G work on iPads? I've noticed that 3G iPads are more expensive, but do you also have to pay monthly for the 3G usage on top of this?

Yes, as far as I know, you have a monthly contract just like a mobile phone with 3G.  Most people I know just got the wifi one and tether it to their 3G phone if they're somewhere without wifi coverage.

Has anyone had a go on a Kindle Fire HD?  If so what did you think?

A clearing of the decks for prog 2013 in a stunning way.   To say I'm already looking forward to 1812 is an understatement.  You know somethings going right when you find yourself cheering the next prog boxes on the Dredd world strips.

ABC Warriors and Brass Sun wrap up.  Have really enjoyed these.  Best ABC run for ages and Brass Sun has been best new strip for some time.  Ace stuff all round.

I do like the way Flint is drawing Dredd's helmet with a deep gouge in it, a bit like the film.  It looks brilliant.

Al Ewing has put more meat on the bones of the character of Hershey in the 2 episodes of this she has appeared in then anyone in the last 20 years.  Great stuff

Ewing, Spurrier and Williams beat you to the punch(line) with Judge Bachman, Mr Turner and Mr Overdrive.

I genuinely cannot believe I hadn't noticed that yet.  That's going to make me hugely happy every time I read these stories from now on.

Like last week every thrill is on top form.  ABC Warriors (which for me has been the weakest link, comparitively) is the best episode yet.  Bachmann goes into overdrive in Dredd.  I suspect we ain't seen nothing yet.  And all other thrills continue in top quality form.  The prog really is strong at the moment.  Extra thrill circuits required.

Another thing, if it was deliberate planning to have a story concerning a list of undercover agents stolen in the same week as Skyfall is released with a similar conceit, than that's rather bloody cunning as well

And if it isn't deliberate, then they should certainly claim that it was.
