Ah Littlejohn, a (fat) face you'ld never get bored of hititng. Anyone else convinced he's a massive self hating closet case who's particularly attracted to asylum seekers? either that or a clever socialist mole discrediting conservative thought from the inside? surely no one can hate that much all year round?

I'ld agree with that assesment, but the odd thing is he has deliberately placed himself at the centre of the media storm prior to arrest, almsot suggesting at times that he should be arrested. Which ever wyath ejob goes it's one a lot of lessons can be learnt from already.

The whole job has a disturbing post-modern feeling to it IF the suspect is guilty. The suspect comes accross as if he's consumed masses of true crime material and the media are treating it like an episode of Prime suspect. In pubs the last few nights everyone seems to see themself as an expert on the subject.
The information about the suspect is also a fairly unique situation. He'd been interviewed when the first victim was missing (fairly standard procedure in that case) and a couple of times since, although only once under caution.
The papers got wind of this and as no arrest took place he made a munber of press interviews. Now he has been arrested I'ld expect an information black hole to begin to allow a fair trial if charged. If a similar delugee of info appears on the 2nd detained male then the media are seriously risking a fair trial and possible contempt of court following charge.

Enjoyed it in a full of ginger wine and shortbread kind of way. Felt badly paced throughout though. And why are TV folk convinced that David Jason is the spirit of christmas?

My web-fu sucks so I can't post a link however if you go to  www.bloodforthebaron.com you'll find a rather nice archive of all the 80's action force strips form Battle Action force (where else would you find the SAS fighting the red Shadows and Hitlers clone army?).
theres also a similar feature on the original Deaths Head from Marvel UK which I always rather liked.

I look forward to the first "ban this danagerous game" headline in the Daily Mail with a photo of whichever 10 year old eejit manages to knock his own teeth out first. Because remember, if the kids middle class enough it'll be those fiendish orientals fault.

I don't know why they dont just go the whole hog with torchwood with a recast for the second season, Chico as Captain Jack, Sue Pollard as Gewn, the reanimated corpse of Sid James as rapey Owen. then they could have a "you have been watching" end credits where they all wink to camera.
Ibncidently the Village has Eyes cannibal shlockahaust  episode was the least coherent biggest plot holed pile of crap I've seen, and I've seen 2 episodes of Andromeda.

got the Rome boxset recent3y and really enjoyed it. seems beter paced than when on tv, and I can't pretend that the awesome level of totty went unnoticed. Stupidly expensive at the moment but when it's half price in hmv I. highly reccomend it Between this and the Galactica box set i've had a tv tastic fortnight.
However I need some hive advice, a few chums want a beered up ultimate force marathon, can a normal man handle 6 hours of grant mitchell "acting" or should I feign testosterone poisoning?

say what you want about irwin but the man lived a life, he experienced things we never will, and seemed a genuinely good guy. I won't pretend his death upset me, but I will say that some of the bile against him elsewhere has come close, sadly the internet has fostered far too many arseholes. makes you realise that despite the occasional row this place is a comparative haven of niceness.

Why Doug hutchinson? What made you think "hmmm this incredibly minor actor, he's the man for the part in a film I'm casting in my head? and I'm so convinced I'll start a campaign!" What led you on the road to Dougmascus?
Serious question by the way, it just seems a little odd.

nonpowered group who take on superhumans. Only a few characters introduced so far, very graphic, very funny (not always sure about ennis and humour, rifle brigade was dreadful but I really liked this). Also appears to feature simon pegg as wee hughie, which takes a bit of getting used to.
enjoyed it but it is fairly strong and certainly issn;t for everyone.

"Never a dry eye when a mother's love frees Moses from his zombified state"

that was my favourite bit of the bible, "I'm dezombified, it's time to kick pharoahs arse"

In all fairness ghandi. apparently at the oscars they had to show a scene from sexy beast where ben kingsley wasn't speaking because there wasn't a long enough clip of him talking without the word "fuck". On the subject of Sexy Beast perma tanned ronseal former Lovejoy  ian Mcshaneseems to have learnt Ghandis swearing masterclass and taken it to deadwood.
